The Syrian civil war has again spilled over into Israel, according to Israeli military officials.

Three mortar shells exploded Saturday afternoon in the Golan Heights, near Ramot Magshimim, that were fired from Syria. There were no injuries or damages reported.

The defense establishment believes that the shells were not intentionally fired, but rather strayed into Israel, during the course of fighting in the civil war in Syria, on the other side of the border.

Israel filed a complaint with the U.N. force that is stationed on the border with Syria.

Woman punishes her kids by leaving them to sleep in the woods

(scroll down for video) A woman was arrested after her 6-year-old son was found sleeping behind 7-eleven.

The 32-year-old mother of two was arrested after abandoning her children at a 7-eleven and telling them they would have to sleep in the woods as a punishment.

Tiffany Buffkin, of Florida, and her boyfriend, took her children to Orlando theme park, on their way home the couple had an argument.

When the argument got heated the boyfriend stopped the car at a gas station and ordered Buffkin, and her two children to get out of the car.
Then he drove off leaving Buffkin stranded with her 13-year-old and 6-year-old sons.

Buffkin went to the nearby 7-Eleven, where she rebuked her son, blaming him for the argument between the couple, which caused them to be abandoned by her boyfriend.

As a punishment the mother left the kids alone to sleep in the woods.

Officers found the 6-year-old boy sleeping near bushes behind 7-eleven, while the 13-year-old boy was found at the front of the building trying to reach relatives or friends for a ride home.

Police officers were looking for the mother when she came stumbling back to where she had abandoned her children.

Buffkin was drunk and belligerent according to the police report.
She was arrested and charged with child neglect, disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest.

The children were handed over to the state Department of Children services.

Men posing as New York police officers caught robbing people inside their homes

Several men posing as police officers are robbing residents of Brooklyn, New York, inside their homes, according to police reports in New York.

The search is on to find two men who posed as police officers and robbed people inside a house in Brooklyn.

Police have released photographs of the suspects they say posed as police officers and then made ​​their way into the home in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York.
One such incident happened in the vicinity of Atlantic Avenue and Herkimer Street.

The two men zip tied the residents while collecting valuables from the house and then fled with cash and a laptop.
No physical injuries were reported.

One suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, with black hair and glasses.

The young rapper goes by the stage name Lil Poopy, his real name is Luie Rivera Jr. He is a regular kid from Boston who recently released a music video with adult content, which has caused controversy.

Although many people see the boy as talented and the video as art, police officers were not amused with the video and they called for an investigation.

In the video, Lil Poopy refers to himself as "Coke Boy", and is seen riding a Ferrari without a seatbelt. In the video he is also slapping a woman’s backside.

The video has prompted an investigation by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families after police filed a complaint against the father, alleging neglect or abuse of the child.

The family’s lawyer said that the probe is racially prompted. He argues: "white child actors are represented in more serious scenes, such as violence and sexual content, and they get awards, but when a young Hispanic boy raps, he gets investigated."

The fourth grader goes to school every day and is doing well. He is well liked by his teachers.

College fraternity group raise money for student’s sex change

Sex change surgery can be expensive and so far, insurance companies are not required to cover these expenses.

A college fraternity in Boston, Massachusetts, has launched a campaign to raise funds for one of its members to undergo partial sex change surgery, according to a college official.

20-year-old Donnie Collins, who is a sophomore at Emerson College in Boston, was born a woman but at 17-years-old she decided that she wants to lives as a man, according to Jason Meier, director of student activities.

Friends of Collins, helped launch an online campaign to raise at least $8,000 to pay for her double mastectomy.

Collins, was born a woman and still has female genitalia but she identifies as a man, according to Meier.

Since the campaign started the group has managed to raise more than $12,000.
They will donate the funds to the Jim Collins Foundation, a group that provides financial assistance for transsexual surgeries.
