(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged with drunk driving related charges after he killed 2 while driving drunk, according to court proceedings in New Mexico.

Now, the New Mexico man who was driving drunk, killing two sisters, is suing the restaurant that served the alcohol as well as a friend who allowed him into his car after drinking.

James Ruiz, whose drunken accident caused the death of Del Lynn Peshlakai, 19, and her sister Deshauna, 17, in the south of Santa Fe, went to court on Friday to seek damages from Applebee’s, The Blue Corn Cafe, and his friend, Gilbert Mendoza.

Ruiz said that as a result of the accident and its after effects he suffered and continues to suffer emotional distress.
Ruiz blamed the negligence on the restaurants and Mendoza, who was a cause and contributing factor of his severe emotional distress, the lawsuit said.

The 37-year-old is a repeat drunk driver who has five previous DWI arrests on his record and was released on bail when the accident occurred.
Ruiz is serving a 40-year sentence after pleading guilty and filed the lawsuit without an attorney.

Applebee’s knew that he was a habitual alcoholic. He was was obviously intoxicated when he and Mendoza appeared on the night of the accident. After drinking more at the Blue Corn Cafe, he left without paying and Mendoza gave Ruiz the keys to the car, the lawsuit states.

Ruiz said that the restaurants violated state law when they served him alcohol despite obviously being drunk.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Man jailed for life after choking his child with condom

Steven Deuman
By: David Ross

A man will rot in prison for the rest of his life after he raped and killed his baby girl.

Steven Deuman, 26, was convicted of first-degree murder and aggravated sexual assault after he was charged with orally raping his 15-week-old daughter while in his care.

The newborn baby is believed to have died from choking on the condom that was found in her mouth.

Deuman was sentenced to two life sentences in prison.

Deuman’s infant daughter, Evelynne Deuman, was found dead with a condom in her mouth. The death occurred at the home of Deuman in northern Michigan.

Deuman had called the child's mother to let her know that he had left his daughter in bed while he went smoking outside, but when he returned the baby was on the floor and not breathing.

The prosecution argued that explanation made no sense, since the baby was too young to crawl or even roll off the bed at 15-weeks old. She was definitely not capable of putting the condom in her mouth by herself.

The autopsy showed no evidence that the girl fell. The autopsy also determined that the baby died of asphyxiation.

Deuman claims that he did not hurt his daughter and that her death was purely accidental.
The judge did not buy his story and he was sentenced to two life terms in prison.

Man commits suicide after getting arrested for gang rape

Ram Singh
By: Sarah Weiss

(Scroll down for video) A man who was arrested and charged with gang rape related charges committed suicide inside his prison cell, according to prison officials in India.

One of the five men accused of gang raping a 23-year-old Indian woman, a crime that received wide international attention, was found dead in the jail, his lawyer confirmed Monday.

Ram Singh was found dead in the Tihar Jail, the main prison in Delhi, at about 5:15 am, his lawyer, said.
Singh, 33, and four other men were detained pending the completion of their trial in a special court in Delhi on charges which include kidnapping, rape and murder. The five men have pleaded not guilty.

"He hanged himself from the ceiling with his own clothes," Sunil Gupta, who is the spokesperson for the Tihar Jail, said.
Gupta said Singh had three cellmates. He said: “his cellmates had no idea about his intention to commit suicide. They were sleeping when the incident occurred."

Rajinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police, who is part of a special task force investigating the Delhi rape case, said that Singh used his clothes to hang himself.
The lawyer for Singh, disputed the police version.

"It is not possible that he committed suicide. The theory that he used his own clothes cannot be true because it is a high security prison," his lawyer said.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Sanele Masilela, 8, marries Helen Shabangu, 61
By: John Roberts

A young boy from Tshwane, South Africa, married a 61-year-old woman to honor the wishes of his deceased grandfather.

Before he passed away, the grandfather asked Sanele Masilela, to get married, according to reports.

The 8-years-old boy did not want to wait until he grows up to fulfil his grandfather’s wishes so he decided to get married right away and his 46-year-old mother agreed.

Strangely, Sanele Masilela chose to marry 61-year-old Helen Shabangu, who is a married woman and a mother of five children between the ages of 27 and 37. Shabangu agreed to marry the young boy.

The couple is more like a grandmother-grandson pair. They exchange rings in Tshwane, South Africa, and they even shared a kiss in front of 100 friends and family members.

The boy’s family reportedly spend about $2,000 for the whole wedding including a white gown for the bride and a silver suit for the groom who is in second grade.

The wedding was held as if it was the real deal, but they couple did not sign the marriage license and will not live together.

Shabangu’s husband of 30 years, Alfred, who is 65-year-old, said: “My kids and I are happy. We didn't have a problem with it but some of the community members were shocked.”

In an interview, the boy said: "I'm happy that I married Helen. When I grow up I will marry a woman my age," he said.

His mother believes that by doing this they have honored and made their ancestors happy. “If we hadn’t, something bad would have happened in the family,” the mother told the news media.

By: Ryan Lee Hall

(Scroll down for video) A waitress at Applebee's in Denver, Colorado, was shocked when a woman handed her a stolen driver’s license as her ID.

The photo ID was not of the woman who ordered the margaritas, instead it was the stolen driver’s license that belong to none other than the waitress who was taking the order.

Brianna Priddy’s wallet was stolen during a night out with friends. Since then, someone had been using her identity to write hundreds of dollars in bad checks, according to press reports.

When Priddy saw the ID she was shocked but she said nothing to the woman. She gave the woman back the ID and she went to the back and she called police.

Mike Huckabee to Obama: No More Jewish Settlement Expulsions

Prominent media personality and former governor of
Arkansas Mike Huckabee addresses a press conference
leading into the Gush Katif Museum gala.
With him are (from L to R): Leading Israel
activist and chairman of the evening's event
Dr. Joseph Frager; former New York State Assemblyman
and City Council candidate Rory Lancman;
and Rabbi David Algaze, founder and spiritual
leader of Congregation Havurat Israel in Forest Hills, NY.
By: Sarah Weiss

A former Republican governor who in the last election sought the nomination as the Republican presidential candidate, delivered a public message to Obama just before the president is about to depart for Israel. Mike Huckabee said: "There will be no more Jewish settlement expulsions in Israel like Gush Katif, according to press reports in the United States.

By Daniel Perez For
YourJewishNews.com

For the second year in a row, the Gush Katif Museum attracted top Jewish leaders, both political and spiritual, as well as a celebrated keynote speaker, to its gala fundraiser, held at Brooklyn's glamorous Razag Ballroom on Saturday night, March 9.

Former governor of Arkansas, best-selling author, and Fox News talk show host Mike Huckabee, was passionate in his defense of the people of Israel, particularly those who were expelled from their homes as part of the Israeli government's withdrawal from Gaza in August of 2005.

Gush Katif was one of many flourishing Jewish agricultural communities that was ethnically cleansed as part of a unilateral peace overture towards the Palestinians some eight years ago.

Hamas, a Palestinian faction that operates as both a terrorist organization and the elected government of Gaza, responded to the gesture by immediately using their newly acquired territory as a launching pad for missile strikes against civilian population centers within the Jewish state.

Guests at Saturday night's gala represented a diverse cross-section of Jewish life. Distinguished Sephardic rabbi David Algaze put the evacuation of Gush Katif in perspective. “The fundamental lesson of Gush Katif is that when the Land of Israel is given over to the enemy, it becomes a source of weakness for the Jewish people, for the State of Israel, and ultimately for the world,” he said.

“The creation of terrorist (sovereignty) anywhere in the world, be it Afghanistan or Iraq or Gaza , these are sources of destruction for the world.” With President Barack Obama's impending visit to the region, Rabbi Algaze explains, the U.S. Government may soon be calling for the destruction of Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria (which the media, in an effort to disassociate the region from its Jewish past, generally refers to as the “West Bank”), and that by aiding the Gush Katif Museum in their mission to raise public awareness, he hopes that this tragedy can be averted.

Attending the gathering on behalf of the National Council of Young Israel, the organization's First Vice President, Yosef Poplack, spoke of the ways in which Young Israel has been lending a hand to those Israelis who found themselves betrayed by their own government. “Young Israel has been very supportive of the evacuees from Gush Katif.,” he told reporters, noting that the NCYI has raised over $700,000 on behalf of the displaced settlers.

Prior to dinner itself, a press conference was held, during which Mike Huckabee, museum founder Rabbi Sholom Dov Wolpo, and numerous local leaders, addressed members of the press. For his part, Huckabee decried efforts by the current administration to force more unilateral concessions upon the Israelis as “ridiculous.”

Although the Israel supporters in attendance came from both sides of the aisle, playful teasing could be heard, most of jokes at the expense of the Democrats. In a casual repartee with the former governor, dinner chairman Dr. Joseph Frager, who praised Huckabee as one of Israel's best friends on the U.S. political scene, commented skeptically about how Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has presented himself as a “guardian” of Israel, telling constituents that the name Schumer “is the same as 'shomer,'” the Hebrew word for “guardian.”

“If (Schumer) is the guardian of Israel, they're in a big trouble,” quipped Huckabee, drawing laughter from the crowd.

Exposing the inherent hypocrisy of demanding that Judea, Samaria and Gaza be Jew-free as a prerequisite to peace, former New York State Assemblyman Rory Lancman declared that “There is no part of this earth, let alone any part of the Land of Israel that needs to be free of Jews … I know that when I want to go to the Land of Israel, I don't want to be told that certain areas are off limits to me because I am a Jew.”

Fellow Democrat and current assembly member from Queens Michael Simanowitz expressed similar sentiments, noting that “Democrat or Republican, tonight we're all here as supporters of Israel.

Speaking to reporters, Rabbi Wolpo stressed the importance of the Museum and its mission. In a moving response to the international influence being exerted on Israel, he declared that “The Land of Israel cannot be run by America or by Europe—only by Israel itself. But … the land of Israel (also) cannot be run by the government of Israel ... but (rather,) only by the Jewish people.”

Rabbi Wolpo affirmed the Land of Israel as the eternal inheritance of the Jewish nation, and expressed his fervent hope for long-awaited arrival of the Messiah.

Following the press conference, a highly distinguished line-up of public figures shared with the audience their personal ties to the dream that was Gush Katif, and urged support for the Gush Katif Museum. Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) spoke of the time he spent there, and lamented what he saw as a lack of support among the greater Jewish community that failed to prevent the destruction of Gush Katif.

He noted how his fear, that if the Jews were forced out of Gush Katif it wouldn't be long before Katyusha rockets would fall on the (southern Israeli town of) Ashkelon, became all too real.

Mark Langfan, a New York attorney, major real estate investor, and dedicated Zionist, discussed Gush Katif as it relates to Israel's national security. Using one of the topographical maps for which he has become known, he pointed one of the Jewish state's vulnerable coastal plane, which, at only eight miles wide according to the pre-'67 borders, is commonly referred to as the country's “narrow waistline.” Langfan described to the region more aptly, and more ominously, as Israel's “neck.”

Former Gush Katif resident Rivka Goldschmidt spoke of her life there, and of the pride she and her fellow settlers took in transforming the previously barren land into a lush garden (indeed, later in the evening Rabbi Algaze dubbed it “another Garden of Eden”). “It was as if [the land had been] waiting for 2,000 years, for the Jews to come back to Gush Katif...”

It is ironic that arguably the most emotionally-charged presentation of the evening (an evening that featured not only an actual Gush Katif evacuee, but Auschwitz survivor Jerry Warski, and Syrian-Jewish refugee Isaac Sasson), came from the one non-Jewish presenter, Mike Huckabee, who delivered the keynote address.

Huckabee, who has been visiting Israel off and on for 40 years, and toured the Gush Katif Museum in 2009 at the invitation of the Jewish organization Ateret Cohanim, spoke of his deeply-felt connection to the land and people of Israel as a devout Christian (Huckabee is an ordained Southern Baptist minister). “[E]very Christian believes, and every Christian understands, that Israel is G-d's chosen land,” he said. “And we understand that the nations who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed.”

The former (and possibly future) GOP presidential contender demonstrated a clear understanding of the Israeli disengagement from Gaza and its historical ramifications. Recalling his trip to the Museum, he referred to it as a “brutal reminder of what happens when politicians make decisions that don't involve their brains.”

“When you demand that people abandon their homes, and you do it because you somehow believe that you can trust radical Islamic fascists to keep their word and make nice if you make nice, then it shows a level of naïveté that makes Chamberlain look like Churchill.”

Throughout a speech marked by gravitas and a powerful moral clarity, Huckabee received several standing ovations. He emphasized the futility of coercing Israel into negotiating with people who do not even recognize their right to exist.

Mr. Huckabee also took the opportunity to share his views on U.S. foreign policy in the greater Middle East.

“I cannot understand why the Secretary of State visited Egypt and handed over a check for 250 million dollars, but we're closing the White House to tours … Why do we give F-16s and (M-1) Abrams tanks to a country whose elected president is associated with a terrorist organization, who has openly and publicly called Jews 'bloodsuckers' and 'the descendants of apes and pigs'? Why would we reward someone for that kind of behavior?”

During the recently-appointed Secretary of State John Kerry's recent Senate confirmation hearings, said Huckabee, Kerry claimed that the Egyptians “will be held accountable. And I'm wondering, is accountability being given F-16s, tanks, and $250 million?”

Showing a sardonic sense of humor, Huckabee mock-pleaded “Mr. Secretary, Please hold me accountable!” noting that, if such is the recompense for making such “inexcusable statements,” that “we should all share in the spoils.”

Shifting his focus to the President's trip to Israel later this month, Huckabee commented on the reports that, during the visit, President Obama will ask “not the Israeli leaders … but the Israeli people to make sacrifices for peace.”

“If that is the case, I would love to escort him personally to the Gush Katif Museum and say: 'Mr. President, the Israelis have made many sacrifices for peace. Can you show me one sacrifice that the Palestinians have made for peace?'”

“The Israelis have given and given and given, and received nothing in return,” lamented Huckabee. Demonstrating empathy for Israel's plight, he asked the audience if, hypothetically, missiles were being launched indiscriminately from Canada into New York, how many such attacks would be necessary before there was a massive outcry among the American populace for the government to respond? ”One Katyusha rocket, and we would demand that it stop! (Yet) the Israelis have been asked to let it go after thousands of them.

“I say no!” the governor all but roared. “ One is enough; thousands are too many! And it is time for the Israelis to quit apologizing to the world, and to say that we have the right to a secure and safe homeland, not just for us, but for our grandchildren and great grandchildren … a safe haven.”

By way of explaining the necessity for a robust Israeli defense, Huckabee told of a trip he and his wife took in January to Poland, during which they toured Oskar Schindler's factory, and the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp. “I stood in the place where 1.1 million of your relatives, and your friends, and your ancestors were marched into that very room and murdered in cold blood. And I stood there and chills came over me as I realized that what happened in that room, and I prayed that the world never forget what happened. Because if we forget what did happen, it could happen yet again.

Drawing a haunting parallel to his previous comments vis-à-vis the Gush Katif Musseum, Huckabee said: “when people ask why is it important for Israel to have secure borders and safety, I would love to take them to Auschwitz, stand them in that room, and ask them: 'Do you think for one moment, that if these had been your parents and your grandparents, that you would be a bit uneasy about being told that it would be alright for people who had vowed to exterminate and kill every one of you to live as close as nine miles? I think not.'

“That's why I believe with all my heart that when the President goes to Israel, it's important that the American people give him a message, rather than him giving the Israelis a message. And that message is 'Mr. President, we stand with Israel because they are a mirror image of our freedom and our democracy in this country. And we suggest that before you make any demands of the Israelis to give up anything, that you sit down and look the Palestinians in the face and ask them what have they given up?' And tell them, as I would love to do if I were making that trip as chief executive, rather than saying to the Israelis “stop building in Judea and Samaria,” I would suggest building as rapidly as you can, as much as you can, as many towns as you can!

“If the Palestinians don't like that, the way to fix it is to sit at the peace table and sign an agreement that they recognize Israel's right to exist within the borders that G-d gave them, in safety and security. That, my friend, will probably never happen, so I say pour the concrete, build houses, and let Israel be strong!

Founded in 2008, the Gush Katif Museum is currently raising funds in order to purchase the building in which it is located. Readers can learn more about the work of the Gush Katif Museum, and how they can help, by visiting GushKatifMuseum.org.

Aly Raisman
By: Shifra Unger

(Scroll down for video) A highly loved Jewish Olympic gold medalist will be on the next lineup on the popular U.S. TV show “Dancing With The Stars”, according to press reports in the United States.

Aly Raisman, the young U.S. gymnast who won three medals at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, will join the new cast of celebrity dancing on the ABC hit reality show "Dancing with the Stars." The new season of “Dancing With The Stars” begins next week. The new cast of the 16th season was announced on "Good Morning America" late last month. Raisman will dance with professional dancer Mark Ballas.

The Jewish gymnast won a gold medal at the last Olympic Games for a floor routine performed to the classic Jewish song "Hava Nagila". As controversy erupted over whether to hold an official moment of silence for the 11 Israeli Olympic athletes murdered by Palestinian terrorists at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games in London, the 40th anniversary of that attack, Raisman strongly supported the move.

When the Raisman family learned of the athlete's participation in the show, before it was publicly announced, they were very excited, according to sources.

Raisman, 18, is already rehearsing for the show. "Everyone thinks that because I'm a gymnast dancing will be easy, but it's actually the opposite," she said.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Muslim students stone Jewish students during inter-religious outreach visit

Palestinian throwing stones at Jews
By: Shifra Unger

A group of Jewish students was attacked during a program meant to promote inter-religious understanding, according to press reports in Israel.

Students at a religious school in the northern city of Yokne'am were attacked by Israeli Muslims in the Muslim city of Sakhnin, after visiting a school in the city. No one was physically injured, school officials said.

The incident occurred last week. The incident occurred after Yokne'am school students visited their counterparts in Sakhnin, as part of a regular series of visits meant to promote peace and understanding between Jews and Muslims.

The visit ended pleasantly and Jewish students boarded a bus that took them back to Yokne'am. After they got on the bus, dozens of Sakhnin residents and local school students ran out into the street and began throwing stones and bricks at the children.

Quick-thinking teachers told the children to duck under the seats of the bus. Fortunately, no one was injured by the flying glass.
A report on Army Radio said Sunday that school officials did not report the incident to the police or the Ministry of Education.

The Sakhnin school principal has sent an apology letter to his counterpart in Yokne'am. Two Sakhnin students which were behind the attack have been suspended from school, the principal said.

French city honors Palestinian who killed Israel minister

Majdi al-Rimawi
By: Shifra Unger

A Palestinian who was convicted of killing an Israeli government minister was honored by a city in France, according to press reports in The United States.

A French mayor has angered Israel by granting honorary citizenship to the Palestinian convicted of the murder.
Bezons, which is a suburb of Paris last month honored Majdi al-Rimawi, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for his involvement in the 2001 murder of tourism minister Rehavam Zeevi.

Zeevi had advocated the expulsion of all Palestinians from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The monthly Bezons newsletter reported that leftist mayor Dominique Lesparre said that honoring Rimawi was a strong political act related to the colonization of the Palestinian people. The newsletter did not mention the murder.

Bezons and Rimawi’s hometown have been sister cities since 2008.
A Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Yigal Palmor, said on Monday: “It is outrageous to honor a convicted murderer. No political motive can justify this."

British government forces Jewish schools to teach evolution, blocks Hebrew as a language

Hasidic school children
By: David Ross

The British government has ruled that publicly funded Jewish schools must teach evolution, cannot teach that God created the world and removed Hebrew from a list of supported languages.

British Education Secretary Michael Gove has defended the government's decision not to include Hebrew as one of the officially recognized languages for primary education.

In a letter to Jonathan Rabson, the executive director of the National Association of Orthodox Jewish Schools, Gove said that he realized that this would be disappointing news.

But he added: "I would like to assure you that I continue to support the work you do, including the teaching of Hebrew as an integral part of your school philosophy."

Despite strong protests from Orthodox Jewish schools, the Council of Representatives, the Alliance for Schools of Jews and others, the Government remained committed to its plan for primary schools. The government provided a list of seven languages: German, Italian, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Greek or classical Latin.

While schools are free to teach any language, some Jewish schools claim they cannot teach Hebrew along with another language. Some Jewish schools in recent years have introduced Hebrew at the insistence of Jewish leaders, although some managed to teach a European language along with Hebrew.

While the national curriculum is only binding on schools who receive public funding, the Education Department has also made clear that new free schools must teach evolution.

A Department of Education spokesperson said: "All free schools, including religious schools, have to offer a broad and balanced curriculum and as part of that the school must teach evolution, as set out in the funding agreement. Moreover, as all public schools, free schools are not allowed to teach creationism as scientific fact."

"Hitler should have killed all Jews," one teenager, said.

"I’m satisfied with what Hitler did with the Jews. I am being really honest,” another boy added.

“Hitler would not have hated the Jews for no reason,” a third teen, said.

While another student said: "Nobody in our school likes Jews. Come to our school. I mean it."

Sadly, everyday, Jews are suffering from people like these who have been brainwashed with vicious hatred towards people they never met.

Florida company rewards employees with free beer

Employees drinking on the job
By: Debbie Gross

Drinking alcohol while on a job is a big no no. At one company however, drinking alcohol at work is a form of reward, according to press reports in Florida.

The employees of a healthcare company in Florida are allowed to drink alcohol for free, on company time, thanks to a benefit known as "beer cart Fridays".

Advance Medical CEO Jennifer Fuicelli has been throwing the beer wagon around for two years as part of an unconventional business culture that rewards employees for their hard work throughout the week.

She said the company began in 2005 with four employees and now has 350 employees in two locations, Port Orange, Florida, and Broomfield, Colorado.

The company also has days reserved for a Halloween costume party, barbecues on the clock and the birthday "get out of jail free" card, which can be used for a paid day off.

Employees are limited to beer, which Fuicelli said is a small price that pays huge dividends. "When I tell my friends and family about the drinking that goes on every Friday, they cannot believe me. This is awesome," one employee, said.

The UN Human Rights Council released an advanced version of its report on Operation 'Pillar of Defense', exonerating Israel and the IDF in many cases previously alleged that the IDF committed war crimes during the operation.

When it relates to Gazan civilians that died during the operation it concedes that there was a legitimate military target in the area in most incidents during which civilians were killed by IDF fire. The report is cautious when presenting its findings of alleged violations by Israel of international law:

"In some cases, more information would be required to make a more specific assessment. Based on the information available to Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the IDF did not consistently uphold the basic principles of conduct of hostilities, namely, the principles of distinction, proportionality and precautions. Further, the effectiveness, sufficiency and adequacy of precautions taken remains questionable in several cases."

The report states no such doubts when relating to Hamas' violations:

"Palestinian armed groups continuously violated international humanitarian law, by launching indiscriminate attacks on Israel and by attacking civilians, thereby disregarding the principle of distinction. The armed groups failed to take all feasible precautions in attacks, in particular by launching rockets from populated areas, which put the population at grave risk. Furthermore, several Palestinians were killed by rockets launched by the armed groups that fell short and landed in the Gaza Strip."

One example given is notable. The report states that Omar Mishrawi, the son of BBC reporter Jihad Mishrawi, was killed by a Hamas rocket. The UNHRC report states:

"On 14 November, a woman, her 11-month-old infant, and an 18-year-old adult in Al-Zaitoun were killed by what appeared to be a Palestinian rocket that fell short of Israel. In addition, OHCHR received reports related to an incident in which two civilians, including a child, were killed, and five persons, including three children, were injured, as a result of what appeared to be a Palestinian rocket that fell short and hit a house in Al-Quds Street, near Khilla Gas Station, Jabalya, on 16 November."

The first incident is the Mishrawi case; the second one is talking about Mahmoud Sadallah. The photo of Mishrawi in agony while carrying his dead son, flanked by Hamas leader Ismail Haniyah, became famous during the operation and was instrumental in Hamas' propaganda against Israel. The photo of Sadallah, a four-year-old boy, was used for a photo-op with Egyptian PM Hesham Kandil and Haniyeh.

The UN itself investigated this case and believes that the attack came from a Hamas rocket, not Israel, contrary to how the BBC reported it, as well as the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), Human Rights Watch (HRW), the Daily Mail and others. They assume that Israel must be guilty by default.

NGO Monitor, a watchdog group following anti-Israel bias among nonprofits involved in the Middle East conflict, relating to PCHR and HRW, issued the following statement: "…These NGO allegations were particularly damaging due to powerful, widely-circulated images of the grieving father of the child, who is a journalist.

The NGO and corresponding media accounts worked together to demonize Israel for the death of an innocent child… Rather than applying consistent and professional standards to fact-finding, the claims of HRW and PCHR are often the products of instant speculation and the a-priori presumption of Israeli guilt. Later, when detailed evidence emerges that contradicts their allegations, these NGOs fail to publish apologies and retractions."Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

(Scroll down for video) A young man was rushed to the hospital with a screwdriver protruding from his forehead, according to hospital officials in Poland.

Polish doctors said that a 25-year-old man has undergone three hours of surgery to successfully remove a screwdriver lodged about five centimeters or two inches into his head.

Doctor Jan Kochanowicz, one of the doctors who treated the man in the Polish city of Bialystok, said the man apparently fell and lost consciousness, but does not remember exactly what had happened.

After he regained consciousness, the man was at first only aware of pain in his hand before he realized that something was wrong. He went to his car, looked in the mirror and realized that a screwdriver penetrated his forehead just above his right eye.

Kochanowicz told a local television news station that the man smoked a cigarette before calling a neighbor who took him to the hospital.

Luckily for the man, the screwdriver did not damage his eyes or brain.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

(Scroll down for video) With Chicago, Illinois, suffering the highest homicide rate in the United States, the medical examiner’s office has decided to take an unconventional step to help identify unclaimed dead bodies.

In an effort to help families find their loved ones, the coroner of Chicago, on Wednesday began publishing photos of unclaimed bodies on its website.

The website comes with a disclaimer warning viewers about the disturbing photos.
"Please be aware of the potentially graphic nature of the images that you are about to see" the website warns.

"Some photos are of autopsies of unidentified persons, while some may be somewhat damaged," the website warns.
On Thursday, the site published seven photographs of three unclaimed bodies, two that have been in the morgue since 2011 and one from 2010.

Along with the photos, the website, was recently redesigned to provide other identifying details such as height, clothing or tattoos, the spokesperson for Cook County Medical Examiner's Office told a local Chicago newspaper.

Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Steve Cina, admitted that the photos were hard to look at, but said it is crucial to help families and friends identify their loved ones.

"We hope that the picture can trigger the memory of someone who might know the person who grew up down the street, or the person who lived nearby," Cina told a local television news station.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

40 people were arrested after a young woman was burned alive in a public ceremony in front of children and police officers because she was a witch, according to prosecutors in Papua New Guinea.

Papua New Guinea police charged two people on Monday with the gruesome murder of the woman who was burned alive in front of hundreds of people.

Janet Ware and Andrew Watea were charged with murder for killing Kepari Leniata, a 20-year-old mother, who was burned to death in a pile of trash last month.

Leniata had been accused of witchcraft by relatives of a 6-year-old boy who had recently died in a hospital. Ware and Watea are believed to be the child's mother and uncle, police said in a statement.

The two were among the 40 people arrested last week in connection with the murder. The others were released for lack of evidence, but police said more arrests are expected.

Police said hundreds of spectators, many of whom were children and teenagers, were unable to stop the crowd that participated in the murder of Leniata in the western highlands of the province capital of Mount Hagen.

Police officers were also among the spectators, but were outnumbered and could not save the woman, the national police spokesperson, Dominic Kakas, said. An internal investigation is underway into the actions of police at the scene.

The temporary billboards were placed on the campus of the University of Cincinnati this week, which caused an uproar among some students.

Twelve billboard-sized photographs of women’s privates were placed outside McMicken Hall, that will stay in place throughout the week. UC Alliance for LGBTQ and UC Feminists are behind the project. The groups said that the anti abortion project compared abortion to the Holocaust.
"We are using shock as a tactic to start a conversation," Kate Elliot, an artist who helped organize the project, said.
The project this week was planned over several months and features artwork by Elliot.

"Our hope for this project is to fight against social inequalities and abuse through the use of our privates as a form of collective resistance to oppression and reclaim our position as individuals with unique experiences, perceptions and needs," a post on a facebook group page, explained.

Judge rules that traffic cameras are nothing more than a government scam

Judge Robert Ruehlman

(Scroll down for video) A judge finally took action and confirmed what many citizens already knew that traffic cameras are nothing more than a scam, according to court proceedings in Ohio.

The judge ordered Elmwood Place, Ohio, to stop their speeding ticket frenzy after the installation traffic cameras.
Judge Robert Ruehlman ruled Thursday that Elmwood Place is running what he called a scam against motorists. The city began to use the cameras last year. This resulted in 6600 tickets for speeding in the first month for $105 each.

Business owners and motorists accused the city in a lawsuit that the traffic cameras are damaging commerce and the image of the city. The lawsuit also claims that the city put the traffic cameras into use without following Ohio law for a public notice on new ordinances. The lawsuit also states that the tickets are unconstitutional and just a money grab.

City officials said that the use of the traffic cameras has been confirmed by other courts and made people more secure.
