A British police officer was jailed after placing the Israeli Embassy under risk of attack, according to press reports in the United Kingdom.

The police officer who admitted to abandoning his duties to protect the Israeli Embassy in London has been sentenced to nine months in prison.

Ricci Giff, 38, who is married with two children, was responsible for the diplomatic protection. Melissa Ramsden later committed suicide.

Prosecutor Claire Howell said: "He was fully armed and presumably part of a high-profile unit caring for a high-profile target.
He, more than anyone, would have known the potentially catastrophic results if something happened and there was a delay in response time."

Although Giff said he had left his radio on in case of emergency, the judge said: "It is likely that in reality it would be very difficult for you to respond quickly if you were in the middle of making love with her during these periods.” Giff’s lawyer said that Giff had apologized to his wife and disappointed police colleagues.

Official Palestinian newspaper: 'U.S. behind 9-11 attacks', 'Hitler was greater than Roosevelt'

World Trade Center under attack on 9 11 2001
By: Ryan Lee Hall

The Palestinian official newspaper wrote recently that the U.S. was behind the September 11, 2001 terror attacks and that Hitler was greater than president Roosevelt, according to press reports in Israel.

By Aryeh Savir

Tazpit News Agency For
YourJewishNews.com

Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reports that two days before US President Barack Obama's visit to Israel and the PA, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, the official PA daily printed an anti-American op-ed along with pro-Hitler comments:

"Our history is replete with lies... [including] the lie about Al-Qaeda and the September 11 events, which asserted that Muslim terrorists committed it, and that it was not an internal American action by the Freemasons."
The op-ed further implies that Hitler was greater than both Churchill and Roosevelt, who were "alcoholics":

"Churchill and Roosevelt were alcoholics, and in their youth were questioned more than once about brawls they started in bars, while Hitler hated alcohol and was not addicted to it. He used to go to sleep early and wake up early, and was very organized. These facts have been turned upside down as well, and Satan has been dressed with angels' wings."

The PA daily op-ed further asserts that negative attitudes toward Nazism are not objective but the result of the West's victory:
"Had Hitler won, Nazism would be an honor that people would be competing to belong to, and not a disgrace punishable by law."

This follows the “warm welcome” given by the Arabs of Bethlehem to American officials, who came on Monday to prepare for President Barack Obama's visit to the city on Friday. They threw shoes and garbage at the vehicles of the entourage from the U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem.

Hundreds of Arabs mobbed the vehicles outside the Church of the Nativity, where Obama is scheduled to visit when he comes to Bethlehem. They further set fire to a “Welcome Obama” banner after it was spray-painted with swastikas and run over by a taxi cab.

Israeli soldiers send powerful message to the world with music video

Israeli soldiers praying
By: Sarah Weiss

(Scroll down for video) Dressed in their IDF uniform, these men have a powerful message for Israel haters.

They sing their message via a music video.
Here are some of the lyrics. The song is called I'm an Israeli soldier.

So let me hear you say I’m a criminal war
come on little punk that’s what you came here for,
You can take a photo you can stage it if its necessary
should I make an expression that's really scary...

As much as you lie you are dust on my sleeve
For 4000 years this country has been mine

Open a book its not a big mystery,
though I'm sure you failed the test in history

I dont give a damn about your ignorance or what you think of me I'm an Israeli soldier and proud to be!

Although Israel is so small in size compared to all other countries in the world, the tiny country might have the most patriotic citizens in the world.

Israeli people love their God given country and they are proud to serve the country.

In the video, they talk about the Jewish history of Judea and Samaria, which played a significant role throughout Jewish history.

Judea and Samaria always belonged to the Jews. King David and other prophets lived there as did Jesus.

“Jesus was here, but I hate to break it to you. I heard an awful rumor that he was Jew,” the soldiers sang.

The soldiers know the Jewish history and they are proud to protect it by all costs no matter what the ignorant people of the world say.

“The bottom line is even though it's painful to see. I’m an Israeli soldier and proud to be!”

Cyprus bank location
By: Debbie Gross

What happens when the bank runs out of money? Get cash from the plane.

Britain sent a military plane carrying one million euros in cash to Cyprus on Tuesday for its troops on the island as ATMs and bank cards stopped working, the Ministry of Defense, said.

About 3,500 British troops are based in Cyprus, which has been granted a bail out of 10 billion euros. A tax on depositors’ bank accounts as part of the deal provoked outrage and shook financial markets.

"A Royal Air Force flight left this afternoon to Cyprus with 1 million euros on board as a contingency measure to provide military personnel and their families with emergency cash in case ATMs and debit cards stop working completely," the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

"We will keep this under review and consider additional shipments of cash if necessary," the Ministry of Defense, added.
British troops in Cyprus will be given the option of having their monthly salaries deposited in British bank accounts instead of Cyprus bank accounts in the future, the statement added.

The European Union and the International Monetary Fund are demanding Cyprus raise 5.8 billion euros from depositors to ensure the bailout needed to rescue its financial sector.

The Cyprus Government is working on a new proposal that could save smaller bank accounts after the original plan drew an angry response.

(Scroll down for video) A grandmother was arrested and charged with murder related charges after shooting her grandson at least 10 times while he was pleading on the phone to police for help, according to Detroit, Michigan, court proceedings.

The woman, who was identified as a 75-year-old, was convicted on Tuesday of second-degree murder for killing her teenage grandson last spring in her Detroit area home, after jurors rejected her claim that she shot him in self defense.

Sandra Layne cried quietly while hearing the verdict, which was delivered during the first day of jury deliberations. She was also found guilty of using a firearm during a felony and likely faces at least 14 years in prison for the death of her grandson, Jonathan Hoffman.

Defense attorney Jerome Sabbota later said that Layne was devastated by the verdict.
However, some family members had harsh words for the grandmother. The mother of Hoffman, Jennifer Hoffman, said her mother was a monster who deserved to go to jail.

"I'm glad that she is locked up and cannot hurt anyone else," Jennifer Hoffman, said. "He was a great guy and did not deserve to die like this," she added.

His father, Michael Hoffman, said the verdict was a "final vindication for my son."
Layne fired 10 shots at his 17-year-old grandson, hitting him six times in a span of six minutes during an argument last May at her home in West Bloomfield Township.

The evidence included a recording of the frantic emergency call Jonathan Hoffman made in which he pleaded for help, even as more shots were being fired.
"My grandmother shot me. I'm going to die. Help. She shot me again," he told the police dispatcher as he gasped for air.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

(Scroll down for video) A mother was arrested and charged with murder related charges after killing her children because they talked back to her, according to Tampa police reports in Florida.

Now, the mother accused of killing her two teenage children because they were mouthy was hospitalized, delaying her first scheduled court appearance.

Julie Schenecker, 50, was arrested Friday when police, responding to a call from a concerned relative, found her covered in blood on the back porch of her house.

The woman allegedly confessed to the officers on the scene that she had killed her 13-year-old son and then her daughter, 16-years-old, for being mouthy.

Police said that Schenecker shot her son in the face while on the way to soccer practice, and then went to the family home in north Tampa, where she shot her daughter in the back of the head, while the teenage student was sitting at her computer.

"I think we will never understand how or why a mother could take the lives of her children," police spokesperson Laura McElroy, said. "That was the only reason she told detectives at the scene," she added.

Schenecker's daughter, Calyx, 16, was found in an upstairs bedroom, and Beau, 13, was found in a van in the garage, McElroy said.
Both children had been shot with a .38 caliber pistol that police believe had been bought five days earlier.

'The Bible' Satan looks like President Obama

"The Bible" Satan
By: Moses Gold

(Scroll down for video) A new controversy has broken out just as President Obama is setting off for his trip to the Middle East.

Many people believe that the Satan character in “The Bible” was made to look like President Obama, according to press reports in the United States.

The Prince of Darkness is actually portrayed by Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni, who bears a striking resemblance to the commander in chief, thanks to makeup and some digital effects.

It is an interesting point, and one that is not totally unfounded. Is this a mere coincidence, or are the creators of the program trying to imply something? The History Channel issued a statement Monday that rejected the idea.

"History Channel has the greatest respect for President Obama," the network said. "The series was produced with a diverse international cast of actors. Shame on that person who made the false connection. 'The Bible' is meant to enlighten people on their rich and deep history."

“The Bible” is produced by the husband-and-wife team Mark Burnett and Roma Downey. Burnett, however, also donated to Obama's presidential campaign in 2008.

Burnett and Downey also issued a statement saying they "have nothing but respect and love" for Obama, "a Christian."
"This makes no sense," said the statement. "The actor who played Satan, is a highly acclaimed Moroccan actor. He previously played in several parts, including biblical epics satanic characters long before Barack Obama was elected as our president."Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
