There are some people who like to boo at city board meetings. However, at some locations it is against the law to do so.

Now, board members of a small city in New York, have decided that it's okay to boo at their meetings, but only if done so politely.

The Riverhead board voted to ban booing earlier this month. However, the board has now voted 4 to 1 to strike down the anti-boo rules.

The Long Island Board however, retained another part of their weird code. Part of the code prohibits disruptive behavior and disruptive demonstrations.

No explanation was given at the board meeting what would be called politeful booing.
Councilman James Wooten's supervisor said the city should be able to maintain order in a meeting without written rules.

Supervisor Sean Walter defended the original anti-boos rule. He said there are similar regulations in cities across the state of New York.

(Scroll down for video) Getting ready for the holiday of Passover, cleaning the house of all leaven bread, shopping and cooking, can be overwhelming.

Orthodox Jewish comedian Mendy Pellin is here to make you smile.

In this lighthearted comedy video, Pellin hired an African American man and a Chinese woman. The two discuss the issues of cleaning for Passover while throwing in some Yiddish words.

They made fun of Jewish women who clean the top shelf in the bathroom, where bread has never reached.

“Three years ago, I felt so bad for my Zlata Chana that I left a corn beef sandwich on the top of the shelf in the bathroom so she does not feel like an idiot while scrubbing there with a toothpick,” the African American man said.

“I think in all fairness we should have Egyptians clean our house for Pesach (Passover),” he added.

The video stars David "Big Dave" Earl Jones and Betty Ouyang with the voices of: Mendy Pellin and Barbara Heller. The comedy was written and directed by comedian Mendy Pellin.

Palestinians throwing rocks at Israeli vehicles across Judea and Samaria on Thursday evening, March 14, left an Israeli infant in critical condition.

According to Tazpit News Agency, a serious traffic collision took place at the Gitai Avisar junction, near Ariel in Samaria in what appeared to be the result of rock throwing by a group of Arabs.

According to eyewitnesses, Arabs throwing rocks were able to strike a bus on the road, as well as a passing truck, lightly injuring both drivers. The truck driver was subsequently forced to pull over and a car that followed was also struck by the rocks. The car’s driver lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the parked truck, around 6:30 p.m.

The family inside the car was seriously injured in the crash, with the mother suffering serious injuries. The mother’s two-year-old girl was left in critical condition, while her other two daughters, ages 4 and 6, suffered moderate injuries.

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics, police, and firefighting crews arrived on scene to treat the family. The mother who was trapped in the vehicle, which had been crushed by the truck, had to be extricated out. The four family members, from the nearby community of Yakir, were then transported by ambulance to Petah Tikva’s Beilinson Hospital.

In another rock-throwing incident, around the same time and on the same road, another Israeli vehicle was hit, and its passengers from the community of Eli - a father and his 10-month-old baby - were slightly injured, with the baby receiving light shrapnel wounds to its face.

There were several other areas in Judea and Samaria were rock-throwing on passing vehicles took place on Thursday evening. IDF and police forces scouted the area to locate the group of Palestinians throwing the rocks at Israeli civilians. They are suspected to come from an Arab village near Ariel.

“Rock terror is a daily occurrence in Judea and Samaria,” one resident told Tazpit News Agency. “Only when someone is injured, does this dangerous act receive any media attention.”

Following the incidents, Yesha Council chairman, Avi Roeh turned to the IDF and Minister of Security to demand that security forces respond more strongly to the rock throwing phenomenon. “A rock can kill and that is how security forces should address this situation,” said Roeh.

“These tragic incidents are becoming increasingly more commonplace every day in Judea and Samaria. Tonight’s events are terror attacks and must be addressed as such,” he told Tazpit News Agency.

In Jerusalem, a rocket-throwing incident on French Hill at an Egged bus at 10 p.m. injuring an Israeli civilian, whose head was hit by shrapnel. He was transported in light condition to the Hadassah University Medical Center on Mount Scopus.
At least seven people were injured on Thursday night in 10 different rock-throwing incidents, mostly in Judea and Samaria.

A woman was arrested and charged with theft related charges after she was caught with a bag full of stolen meatballs, according to press reports in New York.

The female housekeeper at the U.S. Military Academy could go to military prison after she allegedly stole the bag of frozen meatballs at the West Point, New York, military dining hall.

In the beginning of this year, civilian supervisors at the military base caught Estelle Casimir, 56, carrying a garbage bag in the dining section she was not assigned to. When she revealed that stolen meatballs, meant for dinner that night, the military police arrested her and charged her with theft and possession of stolen property, both federal charges.

Casimir, of Newburgh, New York, pleaded not guilty during her arraignment. She argued that "she found the bag in a dumpster," and was on her way to throw them away.

Watson services, the food services company of West Point, suspended Casimir, pending the outcome of the case. Court documents said she has since been looking for cleaning work.

The 56-year-old will return to court next month. If convicted, the maximum penalty is one year in jail and a maximum fine of $1,000.00 for each count.

(Scroll down for video) Burning chametz in preparation for the holiday of Passover.

In the process of removing all leavened bread from the house in preparation for the holiday of Passover, Jewish people around the world burn all their leftover chametz which was not sold to a non-Jewish person.

On the morning of the day before Passover, after throwing their chametz into the fire men say a prayer. Here is a rough translation:

“All chametz, leaven and leavened bread that is left in my possession, which I have not seen, removed or is unknown to me shall be deemed null and ownerless as the dust of the earth.”

The night before Passover Jewish men do a ritual called Bedikas Chametz, where ten pieces of bread are "hidden" around the house.
A candle is lit and final "ceremonial search" is conducted. A feather and a spoon are used to sweep the ten pieces of bread into a bag which is then burned with the other chametz the following morning.

In the video below you can see many people throwing their chametz into a fire. Kids are enjoying the ritual as the get the throw things into the fire.

Ford Motor was slammed after airing an advertisement which showed bound women squeezed into the back of a car, according to press reports in Australia.

Ford has been heavily criticized and it later issued an apology regarding an advertising campaign showing celebrities, bound, gagged and stuffed in the trunk of a small sedan.

Three separate advertisements have emerged online trying to show the Ford Figo, a compact car built for the Indian domestic market that is not sold elsewhere.

The images were produced by a company for internal use and was not supposed to be uploaded online.
"We deeply regret the publication of posters that were in bad taste and contrary to the standards of professionalism and decency," according to a statement by the company.

"They were never intended for publication and should have never have been uploaded to the Internet much less. This was the result of persons acting without proper supervision and appropriate measures have been taken within the agency," the statement said.
The advertisements also said: "Leave your worries behind with extra large Figo trunk.”

One advertisement showed Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, bound and obliged, while squeezed into the back of the car.
In a second picture, former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi poses with three scantily clad women who are equally bound and tied.

Ford has also issued a strongly worded apology.
"The posters are contrary to the rules of professionalism and decency within Ford and our agency partners.
Together with our partners, we are reviewing and monitoring the approval processes to help ensure that nothing like this ever happens again,” the company said in a statement.

(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged with theft related charges after drinking some pretty expensive alcoholic beverages which did not belong to him, according to police reports in Pennsylvania.

Fifty-two bottles of aged whiskey disappeared between his lips, police said, and now it's time for the western Pennsylvania man to pay up.

John Saunders, a former caretaker of a mansion in the Pittsburgh area, faces criminal charges for allegedly destroying a value of over $100,000 in whiskey.

Owner Patricia Hill found nine cases of whiskey hidden in the walls and the stairs of the centennial Georgian mansion built by the coal and coke industry leader JP Brennan after she bought it in 2012. The Pure Rye Whiskey Old Farm was produced in 1900 by the nearby West Overton Distilling Co.

"My guess is that Brennan ordered 10 cases. Pre-Prohibition," Hill, a New Yorker who bought the house to turn it into a bed and breakfast, said. "I was told by his family that the family members used to greet him at the door every day with a shot of whiskey," Hill added.

Police told a local Pennsylvania newspaper that Saunders took dozens of bottles of whiskey valued at $102,400 by an auction house in New York.
Saunders, 62, of Irwin, was charged with receiving stolen property and theft.

Woman burns her daughter with knife for talking to boy on the internet

Sahar Thabit
By: Moses Gold

(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested and charged with assault related charges after burning her daughter with a hot knife because she was talking to a boy on the internet, according to police reports in Florida.

The mother, who identified herself as a religious Muslim, burned her teenage daughter with a red hot knife after she caught her talking to a Yemenite guy she met online, police said.

Sahar Thabit, 35, allegedly went crazy because she had already arranged for her 17-year-old daughter to marry her cousin.
"She told me that she was communicating with a guy she liked and her parents were not happy with that," Somy Ali, who advised the girl said.

Thabit was arrested Friday and charged with three counts of child abuse.
The girl showed police numerous burn marks throughout her body, according to a police report.

The alleged burning came to light after a classmate of the girl alerted school officials, who contacted police. The school friend also said that she tried to commit suicide.

The victim told the assistant principal of the school that her mother burned her, police said. This led to Jessica Roesch, a nurse in a sexual assault treatment center, to examine the child and the conclusion that she was abused physically and mentally.

"This discipline is excessive and inappropriate in any culture," Roesch said in her report.
Thabit, who moved to Hollywood, Florida, from Yemen, considered the online friendship a betrayal of the family culture and Muslim heritage, according to Ali.

"Culturally having sex before marriage or boyfriend is not allowed," Ali said. "She has only been in the U.S. for about 5 or 6 years and her parents did not allow her to participate in these activities at all. From their point of view, this brings disgrace to the family," Ali said.

Ali explained that even though the girl likes the guy she met on the Internet, she is not willing to marry anyone right now. The boy actually called the family home to ask the girl out for marriage after the controversy erupted, but her father hung up each time, Ali said.

"The boy was trying to do the right thing," Ali said.
Ali believes that the girl, who is currently staying with a family friend, would most benefit from talking to people who are familiar with their heritage.

“I recommended that she is seen by a Middle Eastern psychologist, who speaks Arabic and understands her culture," Ali said.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
