Cat running around on soccer field

(Scroll down for video) A cute cat was able to stop a soccer game being watched by thousands and maybe even millions of people from around the world, according to video uploaded to the internet.

The major league Dutch soccer match was interrupted by the surprised cat running around on the field.

The game, which is known as football around the world is called soccer in the United States.

The game score of the Eredivisie match between FC Groningen and Heracles Almelo, was stuck at 0 to 0 before the cat made the game much more interesting to thousands of cheering fans.

The referee had to stop the game for some time, while the teams waited for the pet to be removed.
The cat was soon captured and removed by an administrator just before the break. It is currently unknown to whom the cat belonged to.

The Heracles team was possibly affected by the disruption, as they went on to lose 2 to 0 at home. The black cat may also have provided some bad luck, as the team was awarded a penalty when replays showed it should have been just a free kick.
“Pets make for some great entertainment. They are very cute and sometimes cause a lot of trouble,” Dawn Pearce, 18, who saw the game in Friesland, Netherlands told

This is not the first time that animals disrupted a major sporting event.
A group of kangaroos had no respect for the prestigious Women’s Open and disrupted the game, according to video uploaded to the internet.

Kangaroos on a golf course may be a common sight for any Australian golfer but they caused a stir at the Australian Women's Open in Canberra, last week.

The international field featuring 10 of the world's top 20 women golfers had to get used to the large animals bouncing around the fairways and grazing on the greens of the Royal Canberra championship course.

Australia's capital is typically dry in summer and by February kangaroos are drawn to the lush watered courses.
Local media said the drought of the 2000s saw so many kangaroos feeding on Canberra's watered lawns and parks, so they had to be executed because they posed a threat to motorists.

In the video below you can see the group of kangaroos as they hop around on the Australian gold course during the Women’s Open.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

By: Moses Gold

(Scroll down for video) A dog somehow became trapped inside a pipe and was unable to get out, according to press reports in the United Kingdom.

The dog has been rescued by firefighters after being stuck in the pipe five days.

The operation to remove Lulu, a Jack Russell terrier, took more than six hours after the fire service became involved.
Owner Gina Kaiser was walking the pet in Boveney Lock, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom when the dog squeezed himself into the pipe.

After getting help from friends, family and passersby to try to remove some soil in the pipe, Kaiser realized that Lulu had squeezed himself so tightly into the pipe that it was stuck.

The desperate owner hired a bulldozer to try to access the pipe of 60 cm. However, a fire rescue team were sent in to take over the operation.

A spokesperson for the local fire and rescue services, said: "We have decided to carry out this rescue because of our concern for the safety of the operation, as well as for the welfare of Lulu.”

Crew Manager Pete Skinner raised the dog to safety after removing some debris, and handing it over into the arms of her relieved owner.

Lulu has been taken to a local veterinarian, but was released a few hours after being declared in good condition.
“The dog dug himself into deep trouble but luckily, the fire service were able to rescue it. I am glad to hear that it is in good condition. People need to constantly check on their pets what they are up to,” Janet Wang, 40, of Birmingham, United Kingdom told after hearing about the rescue operation.

The fire service said: "We are obviously delighted to have had a happy ending."Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

3 teens arrested after sexually assaulting girl, writing messages on her body

Audrey Pott
By: Shifra Unger

(Scroll down for video) 3 teens were arrested and charged with sexual assault related charges after sexually abusing a girl, writing messages on her body, and sharing a photo of the attack on the internet, according to police reports in California. The teen committed suicide shortly after the attack.

The Sheriff's Office of Santa Clara County arrested the three 16-year-old boys on Thursday on charges that they sexually battered a 15-year-old girl, Audrey Pott, who hanged herself eight days after the attack that happened at a party in Saratoga. The lawyer for the family of the girl, Robert Allard, said the students shared photos of the attack. The teen who killed herself posted on facebook that her life was ruined, the lawyer said.

Police said that the teens sexually assault the girl after she passed out at the party.
“The justice system should severely punish these teens. The message should be loud and clear that such behavior will not be tolerated and perpetrators will be punished to the fullest extent of the law,” Brian Camp, 22, of Orange County, California told after learning about the suicide.

In a similar incident over in Canada, a teen girl committed suicide by hanging after she was allegedly gang raped by four boys and a photo of the assault went viral on the internet, according to police reports in Canada.

The grieving mother said Tuesday that her daughter hanged herself after she never recovered from an alleged rape by the four teenagers who left her deeply depressed and harassed in their community.

Leah Parsons said she took her 17-year-old daughter, Rehtaeh, off life support Sunday after she hung herself last week. She said one boy took a photo of the alleged assault in 2011, and her daughter was subjected to harassment after it went viral.

“Teachers and parents should teach their kids about the harmful effects of bullying. Police are doing more in recent years to combat bullying and more should be done quickly as too many children are being hurt,” Rebbeca Bishop, 19, a bullied teen in Toronto, Canada told after reading about the teen’s suicide.

Parsons is not satisfied that the police concluded that there was no reason to charge the four boys after a yearlong investigation.

A Royal Canadian police spokesperson said the investigation was completed in consultation with prosecutors, saying there was insufficient evidence to proceed with charges. Nova Scotia Justice Minister Ross Landry said he has no plans to review the case because he has no reason to doubt the integrity of the police investigation. Landry said he has not yet heard of any formal complaint from Parsons about the police investigation, but added he was open to proceed if he receives a complaint.Mobile video not loading? Roger Gorley and his partner
By: John Roberts

(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged with trespassing related charges after he refused to leave his sick partner alone at the hospital, according to police reports in Missouri.

The Lee Summit, Missouri man is angry that the hospital staff ordered him off hospital property and police arrested him after he refused to leave his sick partner behind.

Roger Gorley went to visit his partner, Allen, in the Medical Research Center, located at 2316 East Meyer Boulevard, Tuesday afternoon.

He said that when he got there, a member of the Allen family asked him to leave.
When Gorley refused, the police pulled him off of the property and put him in handcuffs.
"I was not given the same rights as a husband," Gorley said.

While they are not legally recognized as a couple in Missouri, Gorley said that he and his partner Allen have been in a civil union for nearly five years, and make medical decisions for themselves.

According to the arrest report from Kansas City, Missouri police, a security supervisor of the Medical Research Center was contacted by the staff of the emergency room after Gorley refused to leave the room of his partner. The hospital said they did not want to have any visitors inside Allen's room.

Gorley was told to leave by the nurses and security, but he declined, the police report said.
"After several verbal attempts to get Gorley to leave the room, he continually refused and began to cause a disturbance," the report said. "He began to cause a disturbance and physically resist security officers as they escorted him out of the patient's room," the report continued.

Arrest papers said that Gorley was placed in handcuffs after a brief fight with hospital security.
“It is a sad situation for Gorely and his sick partner.

He should have been allowed to stay with his partner just like any ordinary couple. The hospital staff acted in a very insensitive way,” Michelle Bland, 31, of Kansas City, Missouri told after learning about Gorley.

When police arrived, the hospital security officials said they wanted Gorley arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct. He was then taken to the police station to be booked, the documents showed.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested and charged with assault related charges after she touched a cab driver inappropriately.

The woman from Longmont, Colorado is accused of grabbing and twisting the nipple of a taxi driver during a drunken attack.

Pepper Varga, 23, who appeared to be highly intoxicated was charged with a host of offenses including assault, obstruction of an officer, and criminal mischief, among other charges.

Police officers arrested Varga, on Wednesday after they were called to stop a fight between a taxi driver and a passenger. The cab driver told police that he picked up Varga, and took her home. When they reached the destination, she claimed that she did not have the money to pay for the ride.

The 23-year-old asked the driver to accompany her to her apartment in order for her to get the money. The taxi driver followed her, but then she punched him in the abdomen and hit him with a can of ice tea as he turned back to his car.

The taxi driver told police that when he sat into the car, Varga forced the door open, stood over him, grabbed and twisted his nipple, and bit his shoulder. The woman then left the car but not before kicking the door and window. The man was not badly hurt, but he was in pain from the "nipple twisting," according to police.

“Among all the worries resting on the shoulders of taxi drivers they now need to worry about deranged woman twisting their nipples. This is definitely the weirdest taxi attack I heard in my entire life,” Laura Smart, 20, from Colorado Springs, Colorado told after learning of the assault.

Varga was charged with criminal trespassing, assault, obstruction of an officer, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief.

Israeli navy seen on video patrolling offshore gas installations

Israeli Navy patrolling Israel's only pumping gas field
By: Shifra Unger

(Scroll down for video) Just recently, the Israeli Prime Minister has announced that the country began using its own gas from an offshore gas installation off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

Israeli missile boats were seen on video this week leaving the port of Ashdod heading out west to guard Israel’s only pumping natural gas plant.

The gas field, which several weeks ago began pumping natural gas to Israel, has the potential to transform Israel into an energy independent state. At the same time, the gas field also brings to Israel additional threats. The Israeli Navy, which up until now protected 20 kilometers out west, now needs to patrol 200 kilometers out west.

The gas installation instantly became a strategic target for Israel’s enemies who will seek to attack it, a Navy official said.
“Since the gas field is not only important to Israel from an economic standpoint but also from a political standpoint, it makes it for a strategic target for the enemies, therefore, it is understandable why the site needs extra security,” Ben Milton, 60, of Sderot, Israel told after watching the video.

After years of relying on foreign imports from neighboring hostile countries for natural gas, Israel, has finally begun using its very own natural gas for the first time, according to a statement made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The natural gas has begun to flow from one of the significant gas fields located in Israeli territory.
the Israeli Ministry of Energy said that the gas from the Tamar offshore field started flowing for the first time on Saturday and will reach a processing center on the coast of Israel on Sunday afternoon.

Tamar was discovered in 2009 and has about 8.5 trillion cubic feet of gas. Another field, called Leviathan, is estimated to hold about 16 trillion cubic feet, and is expected to go online in 2016.

Until now, Israel has relied on imports to meet most of its energy needs. The new gas discoveries are expected to supply the domestic needs of Israel for decades and could turn the country into an energy exporter.

“This is not only a significant economic development for Israel. It is a significant security development as well as Israel will not have to rely on neighboring hostile Muslim nations such as Egypt for its energy needs,” Ben Young, 58, a Middle East political expert in New York City told

Teenager arrested after calling police on his mother after she annoyed him

Vincent Valvo
By: Shifra Unger

One Florida teenager was arrested after he repeatedly called police to report his mother who annoyed him.

Vincent Valvo, 19, from Vero Beach, Florida did not like the way his mother spoke to him, so he called police. Valvo learned the hard way that it's not against the law for mothers to be annoying. Officers arrested Valvo after he called police twice on Thursday, because "he did not like they way his mom was talking to him."

The police operator reportedly warned Valvo that he should not contact police for non-emergencies. Apparently, he insisted that police officers come over to the house. After his second call to complain about his mother, police officers came to the house, but arrested him, not his mother as he requested.

“Some teenagers have a hard time following rules. They think they know better than their parents. This teenager did not want to deal with the authority of his mother, instead he has to deal with the authority of police officers, a lawyer, prosecutors and a judge,” Melissa Jacoby, 29, from Vero Beach, Florida told

Valvo allegedly smelled of alcohol and exhibited slow and slurred speech, according to the Indian County Sheriff's Office report.
Valvo was arrested for abuse of an emergency telephone system. He was released from jail after posting $500 bond.

Prank gone wrong

(Scroll down for video) Be Careful when you play a prank on a stranger because you never know what could happen. You might just get beat up.

Playing pranks on others has become a big business. In these difficult economic times, people get creative in order to make a dollar. Many people have turned to making entertaining and funny videos, which they then upload to Youtube. Those videos then earn some money as they increase in popularity by attracting advertisers.

In the video below, prankster Roman Atwood attempted to do just that, entertain people by playing a prank on a random man.

When he saw the man park his Ferrari into a handicap parking space he decided to teach the man a lesson by playing his water bottle prank on the man.

“Men love their car, if you mess with it they might just go crazy, as if you touch their woman, especially when we are taking about an expensive car as a Ferrari,” Natasha Wilson, 18, from the Bronx, New York, told

Atwood pretended to be urinating on the Ferrari. As the car owner approached the car he grabbed Atwood and pushed him away from the car. The man went crazy, and he did not stop pushing the prankster even after he was told that it was a prank.

Court bans surgery to help 17-year-old conjoined twins

Saba and Farah Shakeel
By: Moses Gold

(Scroll down for video) A dedicated father stood by his children as they grew up conjointly.

The twins share major blood vessels in the brain and only one of the girls has kidneys.

Saba and Farah Shakeel, who are mostly bedridden, were born into a poor family in Bihar, India. Their father runs a small roadside eatery in the city of Patna. For years, the family fought for government assistance to help care for the girls, and for help with surgery in order to separate them.

Their condition drew the attention of medical specialists worldwide, after U.S. neurosurgeon Benjamin Carson traveled to Bihar to study the case in 2011. After studying their condition, Carson warned that the surgery to separate the twins could be risky.

“It is nice to see the family being so supportive of the suffering girls. They look to be well taken care of. The girls are seen smiling and are well dressed. The even wore jewelry to court,” Afsheen Hatem, 32, from Bhopal, India, told after watching the video.

India's Supreme Court ruled out immediate surgery to separate the 17-year-old twin sisters, who are joined at the head, citing the need for more medical expertise.

A division bench of the court said it had taken note of the fact that identical twins share the vital blood vessels in the brain and had only one kidney.

"No positive direction can be given in the absence of medical opinion indicating if any of them can be saved with surgery," the judge said.

The Supreme Court in New Delhi has ordered the Bihar government to give financial help for the conjoined twin sisters Saba and Farah. The government was also ordered to take care of their medical expenses along with regular check ups.

The court ordered the government of the eastern state of Bihar to pay 5,000 rupees which is almost $92 a month to the parents to help pay for the medical expenses.

Boston, Massachusetts terror attack

A top doctor at the Boston hospital where many injured were treated credited an Israeli team who set up the hospital to be able to treat victims of terror attacks, according to video uploaded to the internet.

The doctor said that the Israeli team taught his team how to respond to such disastrous attacks.

"About two years ago, in fact, we asked the Israelis to come down here and they helped us create our disaster team so we can respond to these type of attacks," Alastair Conn, director of Emergency Services at the Massachusetts General Hospital, in response to a question about the readiness of its staff to handle the trauma of this magnitude.

In a response to a question from a reporter the doctor said: "Oh, absolutely, absolutely this is like a bomb explosion we hear in the news in Iraq or Israel or some other tragic place in the world," he said.

“After listening to this doctor I think other hospitals in the United States should invite that Israeli team in order to better prepare their hospital in the event of a terror attack,” Dennis Goldstein, 30, of Boston, Massachusetts told after listening to the doctor’s statements.Mobile video not loading? $15 million iPhone now for sale for the super rich

The $15 million iPhone
By: Debbie Gross

(Scroll down for video) Do you want to be the proud owner of the world’s most expensive iPhone? Now you can, but it will cost you $15 million.

Expensive, high-end smartphones and smartphone cases are nothing new, as Vertu has a $9,600 Android phone and London’s Loutus made a $300,000 iPhone case with crystals. Now, Stuart Hughes, a designer of aftermarket electronics, has surpassed all of the above with a $15 million iPhone 5, that is believed to be the most expensive smartphone in history.

The phone has a solid gold handmade chassis. The real cost comes from is the most expensive home button in the world.
That single home button is a 26-carat black diamond. The diamond is said to be worth $14.5 million.

The diamonds do not stop there. There are 600 white flawless diamonds located on the Apple logo on the back and around the edges.
The phone is not available to the general public.

Hughes spent nine weeks setting up the phone specifically for a Hong Kong businessman who Hughes only referred to as "Joe". Joe had the black diamond for a while and decided he wanted to put it on an iPhone after buying other items, from Hughes in the past.

"I have been commissioned to do all iPhones since the 3G version came out," Hughes said, adding that he gets most of his business through referrals.

“I cannot understand why a person would want to own a $15 million iPhone. The phone can easily be lost. If Joe will lose his phone he will suffer a $15 million lose. Maybe he is rich enough and just doesn’t care about his money,” Belle Mayes, 36, of Las Vegas, Nevada told after hearing about the $15 million iPhone.

Lesbian couple wins lawsuit against Hawaii hotel after barring them from single bed room

Diane Cervelli and Taeko Bufford
By: Eva Fett

(Scroll down for video) A lesbian couple was humiliated when a Hawaii hotel denied them access to a single bed hotel room, according to a lawsuit filed in court.

Now, a judge has ruled that the Hawaiian bed and breakfast violated the law when the two women were denied a room because they are gay.

The judge of the First Circuit Court of Hawaii ruled in favor of the Southern California lesbian couple who sued Aloha Bed & Breakfast of discrimination. Several years ago, Diane Cervelli and Taeko Bufford tried to book a room at the bed and breakfast because it's in Hawaii Kai, the same east Honolulu neighborhood where the friend they were visiting lived.

When Cervelli specified they would need one bed, the owner asked if they were lesbians. After Cervelli admitted to being in a lesbian relationship, the owner said she was uncomfortable with lesbians in her house because of her religious views, the lawsuit said.

The bed and breakfast operation violated the state law that prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation. The law prohibits public accommodation establishments providing temporary accommodation for guests to discriminate based on sexual orientation, race, color, ancestry, religion, disability and gender, including gender identity or expression, the judge ruled.

“It is extremely disappointing that an independent business owner has no religious rights in the United States. How can the government force people how to run their own privately funded business? This ruling baffles my mind,” Tori Odell, 32, from Santa Fe, New Mexico told after learning about the ruling.

However, not everyone agreed with Odell.

“I am pleased by the judge’s ruling. I faced discrimination as a result of my sexual orientation for years now, and I am glad the courts are finally cracking down on such behavior which I believe is unacceptable in modern society,” Zelda Boggs, 23, who is currently in a lesbian relationship in Reno, Nevada told

Jim Hochberg, a lawyer representing the Honolulu bed and breakfast owner, said Monday the decision did not consider his client’s First Amendment rights. "The public should be aware of this decision, as it has far reaching consequences," he said.

The Hawaii Civil Rights Commission joined in the lawsuit.
"The court's decision is based on strong civil rights laws of the state of Hawaii, which prohibit discrimination," Executive Director William Hoshijo, said. "When visitors or residents are subjected to discrimination, they suffer the sting of the indignity, humiliation and outrage," he added.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

By: Eva Fett

(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged with prostitution related charges after buying food for a woman at McDonald’s before sleeping with her, according to police reports in New Mexico.

Albuquerque Police said that Donald Jones, 58, was spotted picking up a woman in an area known for prostitution and the officers then watched Jones as he received food at a McDonald’s drive-through window and went to a nearby park, a local television news station reported.

Police approached the car in a park and saw the woman pulling her pants down. The man and the woman both admitted to police that the food was bought in exchange for sex.

“I don’t think the police should have arrested the man because after all, he fed a hungry woman. He should have been let go with a warning,” Jeremy Reagan, 40, of Roswell, New Mexico told after learning about the charges.

However, not everyone agreed with the viewpoint of Reagan. “I am glad the couple were arrested because they did their business inside a public park where children were around. This was reckless. I hope the two learned their lesson,” Nelly Roy, 30, of Taos, New Mexico told

Jones, who was found to have prescription narcotics in his car that were not prescribed for him, was also charged with possession of dangerous drugs.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Man finds $20,000 in garbage bin while searching for old magazines

Pile of $100 bills
By: Eva Fett

(Scroll down for video) A man looking for old magazines in garbage containers suddenly found $20,000.00, according to press reports in Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts man told a local television news station that he discovered more than $20,000 in the dumpster while searching for magazines in order to turn them into an art project.

The man living in Marlboro, who is a Brazilian immigrant, asked that his name not be published. He said he visits the Wellesley dump twice a week to find magazines to turn into art, and during a visit last month he found a book that has $20,000 to $30,000 pressed between its pages.

The man said he is trying to find the true owner of the book and is committed to searching for six months before deciding whether to keep the money.

“It is nice of the man that he was willing to go public with this story and return the large sum of money to the person who is obviously distressed after losing so much money,” Christine Loomis, 50, of Boston, Massachusetts told after learning about the incident.

There is no shortage of people who are willing to do bizarre things all around the world.
A 32-year-old Chinese painter, Luo Dan, has used a deer head mask every day for the last five years.

He began wearing the unusual costume in 2009 and quickly became accustomed to wearing it during work and when relaxing during his free time.

The painter and designer said that the mask helps him find creative inspiration, and above all, his deer inside.
“The deer, is a domesticated animal," he said.

"By using the mask, I could find an inner peace inside me that has long disappeared. When I put on the mask, I feel I am a deer from inside," he added.

“I love seeing the man in the deer mask every time I go for a walk around the neighborhood. He brings a smile to passerby and especially to the school children who pass by in the morning and afternoon,” Wang Lee Zong, 43, a hospital worker in China told

It is unclear how long he plans to wear the deer mask, but considering the recuperative powers of the mask it is unlikely that he will give it up anytime soon.

(Scroll down for video) A woman told local news reporters that she now shares her small apartment with 3 lions because their mother at the local zoo abandoned them, according to press reports in Lithuania.

The Lithuanian woman said that she has been raising the three cougars in her three-room apartment after fearing for their lives at the local zoo.

Rasa Veliute, a 23-year-old volunteer at the zoo in Klaipeda, a port city of the Baltic Sea, said she took the puppies home four months ago after their mother began to neglect them.

The cougars, also known as mountain lions and pumas, are named Kipsas, Gipse and Kinde. Veliute said they eat a lot of chicken and get along well with her Eastern European dog.

There is no law prohibiting Lithuanians from keeping animals at home, and the zoo did not oppose Veliute’s actions, but Veliute told reporters Friday that the cougars have grown rapidly and that she is likely to return them to the zoo by this summer.

“It is very nice to see that this young woman is dedicating her life like this to raise these poor animals. However, keeping lions at home is extremely dangerous. They are known to be wild animals and this woman should reconsider her decision for her own safety,” Emily Mcallister, 41, of Allentown, Pennsylvania told after learning about these animals.Mobile video not loading?
