A man bled to death after he accidentally swallowed a toothpick with his sandwich, according to hospital officials in Sweden.

The Swedish man has died after doctors failed to detect the toothpick stuck in his throat.

The Karlskrona, southern Sweden man, who was about 60-years-old, accidentally swallowed the toothpick while eating the sandwich.

The next day, he was taken to the emergency room after having problems swallowing. However, the doctors who examined him found no problem with his throat and sent him home.

Ten days later, he developed a hole and an infection in his windpipe, requiring emergency surgery. The man began bleeding during the operation and died the next day at the Malmo's vascular clinic.

“Be careful when eating a sandwich, and remember that the toothpick is not edible it is meant to hold your cherry tomato in place,” Amanda Simpson, 41, of South Bend, Indiana told after learning about the man who died after swallowing a toothpick.

Lesbian moms abandon their children at bar to go on booze cruise

Mary Joyce Daffron and Billie Jean Williams
By: Eva Fett

A lesbian couple was arrested after they treated themselves to a booze cruise while leaving their children at a bar.

The two mothers have been charged with cruelty after leaving their children at a beach bar in order to go on a “Mother’s Day booze cruise,” police said.

Billie Jean Williams, 27, and Mary Joyce Daffron, 28, were arrested after their 8-year-old and 6-year-old children, went to staff members at the Gator Joe’s Bar and Grill in Ocklawaha, Florida, and said their mothers were gone. Staff at the bar called police.

The mothers allegedly told police they left their children in the care of a man who they had met earlier that day. The man who was identified only as John, told police he knew one of the women from high school, according to the Sheriff's Office of Marion County.

The man told police that the Williams and Daffron had taken off on the booze cruise an hour earlier. Belongings of the women were lying on the beach near where they left their children to play. When the cruise returned to the coast, the women were highly intoxicated.

The women told police that they left the young children in the care of a "godfather" despite the fact that neither of the women knew his name. Williams berated her eight-year-old for having called the police.

The women were arrested on Sunday and the two children were handed over to their relatives.

“It does not matter if they are two mothers or a mother and a father, any parent who leaves their children with a stranger were their children don’t feel safe should be investigated. Parents have a responsibility to keep their children safe,” Nancy Walker, 30, of Rochester, Minnesota told after learning about the incident.

Williams and Daffron have been charged with cruelty toward a child. Daffron faces an additional charge of resisting arrest without violence. Bail was set at $5,000 for Williams. She was released after posting bail. Daffron remained jailed on Monday after bail was set at $5,500.

Several IDF soldiers were hospitalized after their military jeep was firebombed by Palestinian terrorists.

The attacked occurred near the West Bank city of Hebron. Specifically, the suspects threw firebombs at an Israeli military jeep causing it to overturn and catch fire. Two of the soldiers were taken to Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva after suffering second and third degree burns. Two other soldiers were slightly injured.

The firebombing incident occurred in the Hursa village near Hebron. The four soldiers who were inside the jeep managed to get out of it, while the suspects continued to strike it with stones. Additional Israeli military forces arrived and dispersed the suspects.

“The Palestinian leadership bears the sole responsibility to stop these types of attacks, as they are extremely dangerous and sometimes even fatal,” Rami Green, 40, of Jerusalem, Israel told after learning of the latest firebombing attack.

Woman’s gun goes off in her purse hitting her best friend in Starbucks

Gun purse

(Scroll down for video) A woman was shot by gun that was inside her friend’s purse while waiting in line at Starbucks.

After her friend was shot, the gun owner told police she had no idea that she had a gun in her purse.

On Saturday, Pamela Beck, 51, accidentally shot her friend in the leg while standing in line at a Florida Starbucks. Police said Beck, and her friend, Amie Peterson, 38, were getting coffee at the Tyrone Square Mall when Beck put the bags down in order to pay for her drink.

According to St. Petersburg police spokesperson Mike Puetz, Beck’s bag "hit the ground hard," causing a fully loaded .25-caliber semiautomatic pistol on the bottom of bag to go off, hitting Peterson in the knee. Peterson was treated and released at a trauma center nearby.

Beck told police she did not even realize that the gun was in her purse. She said her father had given her the gun a year ago for protection, and she had placed the gun in an old purse. Before going on a shopping trip with Peterson, she changed bags and forgot the gun was inside loaded with six rounds and one in the chamber.

“Her story doesn't make sense. If her father gave her the gun for protection, why then did she shove it into an old purse instead of putting it in a safe place where she can find it if she is in danger?” Tyrone Jordan, 27, of South Beach, Florida told after hearing about the gun incident at Starbucks.

Beck does not have a concealed carry weapon’s permit, but claims she never intended on carrying the gun in the first place. Police ruled the shooting was accidental, but the State Attorney's Office is reviewing the case to determine if Beck will be charged.

Farmers feed marijuana to pigs for great tasting meat

William Von Schneidau
By: John roberts

(Scroll down for video) A farmer has announced that he is feeding his pigs drugs and alcohol to produce better tasting meat.

We have heard of pot brownies and pot cookies, but pot bacon and ham? Well, it is a new product that is coming to the market.

Butcher William Von Schneidau of Seattle, washington has partnered with Bucking Boar Farms at the Seattle’s Pike Place Market for this adventure.

Schneidau’s BB butcher shop, which is located in Pike Place Market in Seattle, is selling the special pot pig meat of pigs which were fed marijuana and alcohol. Washington voted to legalize marijuana last fall.

“The animal rights groups should investigate the effect the drugs and alcohol has on the pigs after they ingest it. Who knows? They might be suffering greatly. Anything that is illegal for a child to ingest should not be given to animals,” Gloria Gonzalez, 40, of Washington DC, who is an animal lover, told after hearing about the drug eating pigs.

The Bucking Boar Farms is feeding the pigs weed as part of their regular diet. The are being fed leaves from pot plants which allegedly makes their meat more tasty. Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Man buys items at estate sale where he finds the original Coca-Cola recipe

Coca-Cola soda
By: John roberts

(Scroll down for video) A man, who bought old boxes at an estate sale, claims to have found the secret Coca-Cola recipe.

The man from Georgia, believes he found the original formula for Coca-Cola and is trying to sell the recipe on ebay. He hopes to get at least $5 million.

Cliff Kluge, and his wife, Arlene, of Ringgold, bought some old boxes of papers and letters in an estate sale for about $100. After going through the boxes he discovered a 1943 document that contains what they believe to be the original recipe for Coca-Cola.

"Whoever had written this letter had seen the original recipe," Kluge said. "The letter has references to Coca-Cola,” he said. Kluge put the recipe up for sale on ebay with a starting price of $5 million and a "Buy it Now" price of $15 million. Kluge said he tried to contact Coca-Cola before putting the recipe up for sale. "They told me they would call me in 7 to 10 days and never called me back," Kluge said.

“This sounds like someone wants to get rich quick, I mean, why would someone pay $5 million for an old paper which has not been authenticated? If he would have sold it for a reasonable price then maybe someone would have taken the gamble,” Daniel Riley, 26, of Atlanta, Georgia told after seeing the ebay auction for the alleged Coca-Cola recipe.

Company officials said they are confident that the document is not the real recipe for the soda. "At least once a year, someone calls and says: ‘I have the original formula for Coca-Cola. How much would you pay for it?’ Well we do not have to pay anything for it because we have the real one," Ted Ryan, chief archivist at Coca-Cola said.

"We know that he does not have the formula, there is only one copy. He has one of many copycat copies floating around," he said.

As of today, a 15-year-old has bought the recipe for $15 million.

Richard Swanson
By: Moses Gold

(Scroll down for video) A U.S. man from Seattle, Washington, who made headlines after he embarked on a journey to Brazil while bouncing a ball, was killed.

Richard Swanson, 42, who has embarked on a charity walk headed to the “One World Futbol Project”, has been tragically hit by a car on a Highway in Oregon during his journey. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Swanson, who is a father of two teenagers, started his trip less than two weeks ago. He headed from Washington to Brazil in order to raise awareness of the World Project, who donate the ball in order to help children in poor countries. Swanson was hit by a car from behind while walking along the side of a road on the outskirts of Lincoln City, east of the Oregon Coast, according to a statement released by the Lincoln City police. Swanson’s soccer ball was found nearby.

Swanson's death was announced on his Facebook page titled "Breakaway Brazil", which he had used to document his progress during the trip. He is survived by his two sons, aged 18 and 22-years-old.

“Many people followed his journey on social media, as he was determined to do something good in his life. I am very saddened to learn that he was killed less than 2 weeks into his trip,” Jason Brown, 24, of Saint Paul, Minnesota told after learning about Swanson's tragic death.

In the video below, Swanson explained that he was making the trip after being fired and having difficulty finding a new job. He had worked in graphic design after spending eight years as an insurance fraud investigator. After losing his job, Swanson said he became a little discouraged, and began to think about what he wanted from life, leading him to realize that he had always dreamed of attending the World Cup.

He left Seattle on May 1, with a sleeping bag in his backpack, and looked for people to host him to sleep. Before he died he posted: "NEWPORT help! Couch still needed." Sadly, he was killed before he reached Newport.

Chicago museums prohibited from displaying Nazi era weapons

Historical weapons
By: David Ross

A group of Army veterans are currently fighting a ban which does not allow Chicago, Illinois museums from displaying World War Two era weapons, according to a statement released by a Chicago alderman.

A Chicago alderman introduced an ordinance Wednesday that would allow museums to display historical unloaded firearms.
Museums are currently prohibited from displaying unloaded firearms due to the city’s strict gun laws.

"Chicago is home to several world-class museums," Edward Burke said in a statement. "It has come to my attention that an exemption is reasonably justified in order to allow these institutions to display unloaded weapons and other historical artifacts," Burke added.

The councilman said he learned that museums such as the Pritzker Military Library cannot display the Walther PP weapon donated by an officer of the U.S. Army who served in World War II.

“I thought Chicago had strict gun laws in order to prevent criminals from obtaining weapons. Meanwhile, all the gun laws do is prohibit museums from displaying weapons. Chicago’s strict gun laws make me sick,” Brenda Clark, 26, of Chicago, Illinois told after learning about the museums not being able to display guns.

Burke's ordinance would allow museums to show "curios and relics" if the City Council approves.

U.N. ambassador Calls on Secretary General to condemn U.N. official posing with Palestine only map

Ann Dismorr poses with Palestine only flag
By: David Ross

A U.N. ambassador called on the U.N. Secretary General to condemn a U.N. official who posed with a Palestine only map, according to a statement released by the office of Israel's ambassador to the United Nations.

By Aryeh Savir

Tazpit News Agency For

Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Ron Prosor, sent a letter of complaint to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon regarding the actions of Ann Dismorr, Director of UNRWA Affairs in Lebanon, who earlier this month posed for photos with a map that identified the entire area of the State of Israel as 'Palestine'.

In the letter, Ambassador Prosor stated that "The map identified 'Palestine' as the geographic area extending from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River. The State of Israel was conspicuously absent. It doesn't take a PhD. in Middle Eastern history or geography to realize that a map of the Middle East that doesn't include Israel is deeply and profoundly prejudiced."

He further added that "Many in the international community doubt UNRWA’s impartiality and motives. Israel supports UNRWA’s important humanitarian work; however, actions that encourage incitement, conflict and, ultimately, violence undermine this work. Embracing a map that rejects Israel’s right to exist is outrageous and contrary to the integrity, independence and impartiality that UNRWA stands for."

The report on this incident was first publicized by the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW). At the official launch of two German-funded UNRWA projects in southern Lebanon to improve the water supply network and rehabilitate shelters in the Rashidieh Camp Dismorr posed with a map that erased the State of Israel and presented all of it as 'Palestine'.

Above the map were the Palestinian flag and the inscription "Arab Palestine." The text at the bottom of the map also said 'Palestine'. The neighboring countries Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon were all named on the map as was the Mediterranean Sea. Israel was not mentioned or designated anywhere.

Prosor concluded his letter by remarking that: "Knowing the importance that you place on coexistence and understanding between peoples, I am sure that you will be dismayed to learn about this event. The integrity and impartiality of UNRWA demands that the UN immediately look into this matter."

Walmart slammed after refusing to print breastfeeding photos

The breastfeeding photo Walmart refused to print
By: Debbie Gross

A Canadian mother was extremely upset when a local Walmart Stores refused to print her photos that showed her breastfeeding her child.

The woman from Alberta, said she was pleased and surprised when Walmart apologized for refusing to print the pictures of her breastfeeding her baby.

Kayla Andre, who lives in the Edmonton area, said her husband had tried to get Walmart to print the images in a frame as a gift for Mother's Day, but the store refused to print the photos, citing a policy against printing nude images.

Andre said she planned to hold a major rally against Walmart on Thursday to protest the incident, but decided to cancel the event when she received a call from the Walmart Canadian office on Tuesday.
She said that store officials apologized to her and said workers had erred in refusing to print the photos.

"Many people said, 'You can’t do anything because it is Walmart. Nothing will change,’" Andre said. "I'm actually very, very happy, shocked and surprised that someone from the central office contact me and resolved the situation," she added.

“It is quite shocking that Walmart responded to this woman and apologized. It is usually impossible to get a large corporation to apologize and provide some customer service, as they are very arrogant,” Angela Martin, 26, of Toronto, Canada told after learning about the breastfeeding photos.

Corporate Affairs Director Alex Roberton, who called Andre Tuesday, said stores across the country have been informed that nursing photographs do not breach the company’s policy against printing nude photos.

(Scroll down for video) Two teachers were fired after imposing a cruel and inhumane punishment on their student in school, according to a statement by school officials in Indiana.

A northern Indiana teacher was suspended and her classroom aide was fired after allegedly putting a diaper on a 5-year-old, for "acting like a baby."

The incident at children's Earth Montessori School in Highland, about 10 miles south of Chicago, was raised by the student's parents at a meeting last week. According to eyewitnesses, the diaper was put on the outside of the child's pants.
The girl's mother, who asked not to be named, said her child was humiliated during the incident.

"There was no excuse for any of the two teachers present in the classroom at the time to do that," Alejandra Keefe, the school administrator said. "They made a very bad choice," he added.

“This was totally uncalled for. This is definitely a case of a child being bullied by the teachers as the child will be teased for a long time by other students. I hope no one hires these two teachers. Teaching is not their thing,” Cynthia Harris, 27, of Fort Wayne, Indiana told after learning about the diaper incident.

The main teacher of the classroom was suspended indefinitely, the administrator added.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Parents sue South Carolina after doctors perform sexual-reassignment surgery on their 16-month-old

Pam and Mark Crawford
By: Ryan Lee Hall

(Scroll down for video) The State of South Carolina was sued after a state agency performed sex surgery on a 16-month-old child, according to a new lawsuit filed in a South Carolina court.

Parents of South Carolina, said Tuesday that they are suing the doctors and the child welfare agency for performing sexual reassignment surgery on their child.

Pam and Mark Crawford and their attorneys from the Southern Poverty Law Center have filed a lawsuit in state and federal courts against the Medical University of South Carolina, Greenville Hospital System, and the Department of Social Services of South Carolina, for performing sexual allocation surgery in violation of the 14th Amendment rights of the child.

The child was born with both male and female organs. Doctors and department officials decided that the child should have sex assignment surgery to make the child a girl. The child, who was later adopted by the couple, is now 8-years-old and identifies herself as a boy.

"There was no medical reason for this surgery, they not only stole the child’s healthy genital tissue, but also the opportunity to decide what should happen to his own body," the legal defense organization said in a statement Tuesday.

The lawsuit alleges that the defendants violated the right of procedural due process by subjecting the child to unnecessary surgery without notice or a hearing to determine if the procedure was in the best interest of the child.

It also claims that doctors committed malpractice by failing to obtain adequate informed consent before proceeding. The law center said that the guardians of the child at the time of surgery were not informed about the risks of surgery, including sterilization and reduced sexual function.
"This case is about ensuring the safety of all children who have no voice," Alesdair Ittelson, a lawyer for the Law Center said.

"By performing this unnecessary surgery, the state and the doctors told the child that he was not acceptable or worthy of being loved the way he was born," Pam Crawford, the child’s adoptive mother, said in a statement.

“If the allegations turn out to be true it is a serious violations of the child’s personal rights. Who is the state to decide what sex a child should be? Such decisions need to be made by the child, parents, or the courts,” Laura Anderson, 28, of Charleston, South Carolina told after learning about the lawsuit.

The child’s lawyer also said the lawsuit is the first of its kind to be filed in the United States.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Mothers paying $1,000 to cut in line at Disney

Disney World
By: Eva Fett

If you are sick of waiting on the long lines at the Disney park you can now pay $1,000 to be able to cut in line.

The secret of skipping the long lines at Disney World these days is to hire a person with disabilities.
Some wealthy New York mothers are hiring a tour guide riding a motorized wheelchair to pose as a member of the family so that they and their children can go to the front of the lines.

Families booking Disney trips through a company called Dream Tours in Florida, can hire for the right price, a disabled person in order to be able to cut in line. The disabled Disney guide charges $130 per hour, or $1,040 for an eight hour day.
"You cannot go to Disney without this service'', one New York mother who used this service said." This is how the 1 percent enjoys Disney,” she added.

The mother said that a disabled person in a motorized wheelchair guided her, her husband and two children, all around the Disney so they were able to immediately enjoy the rides, while others waited for hours.

“I got very angry after I heard about this cutting in line business. It is despicable to use disabled people in order to be able to cut in line just because they think they are more important than others. The IRS should investigate this because I am sure the rich paid the tour guide under the table,” Shirley Hall, 38, of Brooklyn, New York told after learning about the cutting in line business.

Disney allows each guest who needs a wheelchair to be accompanied by up to six people in order to create a good experience for the disabled.

A deer has taken a ride on a bus in western Pennsylvania.
The deer crashed through the windshield of the public bus driven Tuesday night in Johnstown, about 65 miles east of Pittsburgh.
The deer jumped frantically near the driver before jumping into one of the empty seats and running in circles in the aisle. The deer could be seen on video trying to escape from the bus through several windows, but it failed.

Authorities said that the driver stopped the bus, opened the door and the deer fled the scene. Cambria County Transportation spokesperson Josh Yoder said: "the deer just left the bus."
The bus was carrying one passenger, who was sitting in the back of the bus far away from the deer. No injuries have been reported.

“I wonder how the deer got into the bus through the windshield, as it is not floor level. Also, it is nothing short of a miracle that the deer was uninjured from the impact of hitting the bus. I am happy that the driver escaped injury,” Jessica Wright, 37, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania told after learning about the deer.

The bus has been taken to a service center for repair.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Woman sleepwalks nine miles after walking out of kitchen window

Joy Grigg
By: Moses Gold

A man woke up one morning and realized that his wife wandered off in middle of the night.

The wife of a farmer disappeared after climbing out of her kitchen window while sleepwalking. She was found several hours later and nine miles away from her home, according to a statement released by police in Launceston, Cornwall, England.

Joy Grigg, 50, sparked a police search after disappearing in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Her husband Richard, 53, woke up to find his wife gone and the kitchen window open.

The mother of two children had been missing since early Wednesday morning before she was found near Camelford, Cornwall, at night.

It was the second time she has sparked a police search this year after wandering five miles away, in January.

Richard Grigg, who lives on the farm with Joy Grigg, and his two sons, Martin, 27, and Geoff, 25, said: "It is so great that she has found. She's in the hospital, and we just want to get our lives back. We are trying to get things back to normal. Everyone is very relieved and very anxious for her to return home. We were all very concerned for her safety and with the passage of time, obviously, concern grew, but that is over now that she has been found. She's a very sensitive person, a loving mother and wife, and we are delighted to have her back."

Grigg was found just before the search and rescue team was about to suspend the search for the night.

“Sleepwalking is extremely dangerous. I think that people suffering from sleepwalking should chain themselves to their bed in order to avoid wandering off,” Brenda King, 35, of London, England told after learning about Joy Grigg’s sleepwalking.

Richard Grigg, her husband of 28 years, said it's not the first time Joy Grigg disappeared.
He said: "She was lost before, about six or seven weeks ago, that time she was found five miles away. We managed to bring her back by calling her cell phone multiple times. Apparently, the vibration of the cell phone woke her up."

Casino Royale Lego scene
By: Moses Gold

(Scroll down for video) It is just amazing what people can create with the little bricks called Lego.
A group of Lego artist recently created an entire scene of James Bond’s Casino Royale movie entirely from Lego, according to video uploaded to the internet.

The short video managed to keep all the interesting details of the original 007, including the struggle and sweat-inducing interrogation dialogue, except that everything is plastic. Bricktease, an online community for everything Lego, is responsible for the detailed sequence of Casino Royale.

It seems like the internet community is enjoying the scene as the video has already been viewed over one million times YouTube.

“It is amazing what people can do with the little bricks called Lego. I would never believe that a movie can be created with Lego, but I saw it with my own eyes, and it is awesome,” Nancy Brown, 34, of Raleigh, North Carolina told after watching the side by side video.

The 26-year-old Lego fan said it took him just 3 weeks to create and shoot the entire scene. He also said that he plans to complete the entire Casino Royale movie by uploading more scenes every week or so.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
