(Scroll down for video) A man thought he caught the perfect catch, but his dream ended when the big bird came flying in to have some lunch, according to video uploaded to the internet.

An eagle was seen snatching up a fish off the end of the fishing rod.
In the video clip, the bird is seen snatching the fish with just one scoop.

Fisherman Norman Dreger seemed off-balance right after the incident.
Dreger said: "This eagle stole a beautiful Dolly Varden right off my hook, then flew away along with my hook!"
The video has accumulated over 4 million views.

In other fish related news, it is not every day that an announcement is made seeking a mate for a fish, but what makes this announcement even more bizarre is that the announcement is looking for a mate for an ugly fish.

A London Zoo has launched a hunt to find a female partner for an extremely ugly but endangered fish.
The Mangarahara cichlid is about to die after dams built on the river Mangarahara, Madagascar led to a dry habitat.

Currently, the London Zoo has two male fish and are desperately seeking a female in order to help save the species. Berlin Zoo has another fish, but also a male.

London Zoo Aquarium curator Brian Zimmerman said: "They are not a particularly beautiful fish. They are
wonderfully ugly, unusual, more of a connoisseur type of fish. It might be too late for their wild counterparts, but if we can find a female it is not too late for the species.

We urge anyone who has or knows someone who may own these critically endangered fish, which are silver in color with an orange tail on top, so we can start a breeding program here at the zoo to return them from the brink of extinction."

“I am not sure why they call this particular fish ‘ugly’, as I have seen the pictures and I don’t think it is ugly. If I had the female fish I wouldn't definitely give it up in order to save the species from extinction. I hope the zoo finds a female fish soon,” Tara Valdez, 32, of London, England told after learning about the endangered ugly fish.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach musical to begin playing on Broadway

Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach musical
By: Debbie Gross

(Scroll down for video) Long after the death of the beloved Rabbi, Shlomo Carlebach, his legacy will be revived again on Broadway.

"Soul Doctor," a musical about the late Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, is coming to Broadway, with an opening scheduled for late summer at the Circle in the Square in New York City. The musical ran last year in the Theatre Workshop in New York and has also played in New Orleans, Louisiana, Miami Beach and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

In these productions, actor Eric Anderson played Carlebach. The show also chronicles Carlebach's friendship with singer Nina Simone.

Carlebach, who died in 1994, was welcome in few areas with Jewish residents because, associates explained, "his spiritual message paralleled many ideas of the New Age."

"Soul Doctor: Journey of a Rock Star Rabbi" is the joint creation of Jeremy Chess, David Schechter and Daniel S. Wise. It features music written by Carlebach and performed live on stage.

A review described the production last year at the Workshop Theatre in New York as "too long", lasting two hours and 45 minutes. "It comes to life, however, when Mr. Anderson breaks into song."Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Rabbis warn: Palestinian Coca-Cola not kosher

Coca-Cola bottles in Palestine
By: David Ross

Recently, Palestinian bottled Coca-Cola products, were seen in Jewish neighborhood stores as they are cheaper than the Israeli bottled Coca-Cola products.

Now, the Chief Rabbinate of Israel has issued a warning to the Israeli public against using Coca-Cola products manufactured in the West Bank town of Beitunia near Ramallah. The soda bottles were sold alongside strictly kosher Coca-Cola drinks, which have been manufactured in the Israeli city of Bnei Brak for the last decades.

Rabbi Yaakov Sabag, director of the Chief Rabbinate’s Kashrut Department, and Rabbi Rafi Yochai, chief of the Kashrut Fraud Division, in a joint released statement said: "We recently discovered marketing of four-pack Coca-Cola of which each bottle carries an Arabic name with no kosher certification. This product is selling at a reduced price and has created confusion among the Israeli Jewish consumer, as the Coca-Cola brand is known to be kosher in Israel. An investigation has revealed that the product is manufactured in the town of Beitunia, near Jerusalem without kosher supervision."

Despite the fact that the drink itself is probably kosher due to strict quality control of Coca-Cola, the rabbis warned not to sell the products in Jewish stores in order not to confuse kosher consumers who might buy other well-known brand name products made in Palestine. Also, the machines used to bottle the Coca-Cola could be used to bottle non-kosher items.

Coca-Cola Israel said in a statement that it had nothing to do with the production of the drink in the Palestinian Authority. "There is no need to mention that all our products are under the supervision of Rabbi Landau and the Tel Aviv Chief Rabbinate," the company said in a statement.

SEC rules funds can ignore pro-Palestinian activists

Pro-Palestinian activists
By: Moses Gold

Pro-Palestinian activists received a blow from the Securities and Exchange Commission after the U.S. government agency ruled that investment funds can ignore pro-Palestinian activists' request to boycott Israeli firms, a human rights organization announced.

A resolution calling for the boycott of Israeli firms will not be put to a vote at TIAA-CREF's upcoming shareholders meeting. The move comes after the pension fund giant received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to "take no action" on a submission by pro-Palestinian activists. This followed the company's warning by an Israeli civil rights group that passage of the resolution would violate NY and Federal law.

Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, director of Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center, stressed that the development was "a major defeat for the extremist Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement taking aim at Israel."

Darshan-Leitner underlined that her group discussed "concerns with the SEC and pointed out that the resolution was in violation of anti-boycott laws. We noted that TIAA-CREF's corporate charter limited its functions to 'aiding and strengthening nonprofit colleges, universities,' and we could not understand how a biased resolution like this could properly be presented to their membership."

Last month, Tel Aviv-based Shurat HaDin informed TIAA-CREF's leadership that any attempt to implement the boycott resolution would be illegal. The letter noted that NY law defines boycotts as "unlawful discriminatory practice" and that any decision to “refuse to buy from, sell to or trade with, or otherwise discriminate against any person, because of the…creed…[or] national origin" was unlawful and even places secondary actors, aiding the policy, under liability.

The letter pointed out that the Ribicoff Amendment to the Tax Reform Act of 1976 also makes it a federal violation to "participate in or cooperate with an international boycott."

Darshan-Leitner stressed that if measures were to be actually taken against Israel, Shurat HaDin would immediately file suit on behalf of Israeli businesses against TIAA-CREF and to ensure enforcement of state and Federal anti-discrimination laws.

"We seek to make sure Israeli companies are not harmed as a result of a newly adopted policy of discrimination. The BDS movement was looking for a big public forum to spew their hatred. The SEC ruling has now put an end to all that. It is an important victory and we are grateful that the SEC gave TIAA-CREF authorization to ignore extremism," Darshan-Leitner added.

TIAA-CREF, a Fortune 100 financial services group, is the leading retirement provider for employees in the academic and medical fields. It currently serves over 3.7 million people. The group is headquartered in New York City, and has major offices in Denver, Charlotte and Dallas.

Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center is an Israel-based organization dedicated to enforcing basic human rights through the legal system and represents victims of terrorism in courtrooms around the world. Its clients include American, European, and Israeli citizens. It is unaffiliated with any political party or governmental body.

Pastor severely beaten after condoms fell out from his Bible during sermon

Bus preacher
By: John Roberts

A group of angry people have beaten a pastor after he failed to practice what he preached.

The Nigerian pastor is fighting for his life after being beaten into a coma when condoms fell out of his Bible.

The Christian pastor was preaching for people on a bus. He was standing while delivering his sermon. During his speech on the bumpy bus ride, the pastor held his Bible in his hand when all of a sudden, condoms fell out of his Bible.

The pastor, whose name was not released, was nearly killed on Saturday morning in Lagos, Nigeria during the attack. The pastor boarded the bus in Apapa and began preaching to the passengers. During the sermon he allegedly said: “if you have sex before marriage you will burn in hell.”

John Mbakogu, who was on the bus during the incident, was heading to his store in Ladipo. He said that people were enjoying the sermon until the pastor raised his hands to cast out demons of a girl and the condoms fell out of his Bible.

The men, who have just heard the pastor talk about the sin of premarital sex, became angry and jumped him. The pastor tried to defend himself by saying that he also preaches about safe sex!

People continued beating the pastor until police arrived to the scene. The pastor was rushed to the hospital where he is said to be in a coma. Two people have been arrests and the condoms were seized as evidence.

Rapist kills couple and rapes toddler hours after being released from prison

Jerry Active
By: John Roberts

A man was jailed again after he viciously killed a couple and raped a 2-year-old girl.

Jerry Active, 24, of Anchorage, Alaska, was accused of killing an elderly couple and raping their 2-year-old granddaughter, only a few hours after he had been released from jail, state officials said.

Active was arrested by police and has been charged in the murder of Sorn Sreap, 71, and her husband Touch Chea, 73. He was also charged with raping their 2-year-old granddaughter, who was in their care for the night. Active was previously jailed after he pleaded guilty to breaking into a house in Dillingham, Alaska, in 2009, and sexually assaulting a child.

Active was released early from prison and place on parole after serving only part of a his seven-year prison sentence, Kaci Schroeder, a spokesperson for the Alaska Department of Corrections said. Active has a lengthy court record with several misdemeanor arrests prior to the 2009 felony case.

He was released from jail at 8:00 am on Saturday, about 12 hours before the rape and murders were reported, Schroeder said.

“Just horrific, innocent people were killed because the court system is corrupt. Non-violent criminals are jailed for many years for simple white-collar crimes, yet, a violent offender got released before completing their sentence,” Wanda Knapp, 47, of Fairbanks, Alaska told after the incident.

The child's parents returned home from a night out and caught the suspect in the act. Active was charged with the murders and rape. His bail was set at $1.5 million, according to court documents.

Girl arrested after changing teen's name to 'masturbate' in yearbook

Kaitlyn Booth, left, and Raigan Mastain right
By: Ryan Lee Hall

(Scroll down for video) A girl was arrested after school officials did not find her yearbook prank to be funny at all.

Kaitlyn Booth, 17, who attended the Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri, was arrested on suspicion of first degree damage to property, a felony, and harassment, after she allegedly changed the name of her classmate from Raigan Mastain to Raigan "Masturbate" in the school yearbook.

Booth’s prank went unnoticed until after the yearbook was already printed. About 720 yearbooks were affected. Reprinting the yearbooks would have cost the school $41,000. Instead, the staff spent 12 hours putting stickers on the word masturbate so it should read Mastain’s correct name.

Mastain was a real sport about the incident, she said she was not happy with the joke, but not angry either. She understood it was meant as a joke and she did not take it personal. She also said that she does not want Booth to be charged criminally for the prank.

“Mastain seems like a smart and mature girl, she could have seen the incident as bullying, but instead, she took it for what it was, a prank. I wish her a lot luck with her cool attitude. She will be able to accomplish a lot in life,” Philip Olson, 45, of St. Louis, Missouri told after learning about the incident.

Mastain was surprised that Booth was arrested over the prank. "I understand the law, but when you're in highschool, you do things that are not necessarily the smartest, and this is an example of it," Mastain said.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Muslim group forms to fight anti-Semitism

Majed El Shafie
By: John Roberts

A new Muslim group was formed with a mission to fight anti-Semitism.

By Anav Silverman

Tazpit News Agency For

A small, but increasingly vocal number of Muslims are rejecting radical hate speech and combating anti-Semitism in the Muslim world. In the recent Global Forum for Combating Anti-Semitism held this week in Jerusalem, Palestinian Media Watch director, Itamar Marcus and Dr. Boaz Ganor organized a panel discussion with Muslim activists actively rejecting hate rhetoric.

Two of the panel speakers included Kasim Hafeez, a British Muslim who runs The Israel Campaign and Rev. Majed El Shafie, a human rights advocate originally from Egypt. Ahmad Mansour, a Palestinian living in Berlin, who is a policy advisor for the European Foundation for Democracy, was also scheduled to speak but was unable to attend.

"When people say that anti-Semitism exists in the Muslim world because of Israel, that is simply an excuse," says Kasim Hafeez, born in Britain to a Pakistani Muslim family.
"People here [in Israel] get Islamic anti-Semitism. In Europe, we deny it," Hafeez expounded.

"As a university student, I would attend radical anti-Israel rallies in Trafalgar Square. Here I am standing in London in the middle of a European capital - chanting 'death to Israel' and nothing was ever done."

He compares those rallies with the Ku Klux Klan. "An Al-Quds Day rally in London is equivalent to a KKK rally in the US," he stressed.
Hafeez told Tazpit News Agency that he began to change his thinking when he read A Case for Israel, by Alan Dershowitz.

Hafeez explains that he read the book in order to learn how to further deconstruct Zionist propaganda. "But I began to see that I could no longer support my convictions because I had no answers to the arguments that were made for Israel," he explains.

"I found that the radical Islamic doctrine that I grew up with and my own belief in violent jihad could no longer support the truth I once believed in."

That realization prompted Hafeez to visit Israel. "I kind of hoped that the visit to Israel would be a negative experience, that it would enable me to go back to my former beliefs," he told Tazpit News Agency.

But the visit was eye-opening for Hafeez, who says he fell in love with Israel during his first trip. "It's hard not to support Israel," says the soft-spoken Hafeez, who recently participated in the Jerusalem Marathon. "I encountered Israelis who weren't anti-Arab, or anti-Islam and saw that this wasn't some apartheid state."

However, coming out in support of Israel hasn't been easy. Hafeez has become isolated from his friends. "It's a lot of hassle – it really disrupts your life when you become vocal and open about your support for the Jewish state."

"What people don't understand, is that it doesn't matter if you bend over backwards for radical Islamists. If you are Jewish, they will hate you no matter what," Hafeez said.

Rev. Majed El Shafie, the founder of One Free World International (OFWI), a leading organization which advocates for religious minorities globally, echoed similar sentiments. A Muslim who converted to Christianity, he found political asylum in Canada and believes that the silence of moderate Muslims is more dangerous than the rise of extremists.

“They [moderate Muslims] must speak up,” says Rev. El Shafie. “Anti-Semitism is everyone’s problem. The moderate Muslims don’t understand that after the radical Muslims finish with the Christians, Bahai, and Jews, they will come after them. The minute we stop fighting for each other, we lose our humanity,” he added.

Rev. El Shafie believes that education is the solution to radicalization and is the only way to bring forth democracy in the Middle East. "The Arab Spring is a cold deadly winter. Whoever came up with the term 'Arab Spring' must have been a guy in a suit behind a desk who had no idea what was really going on."

"Today all these dictatorships that have been overthrown are filled with extremist governments. There is no separation of religion and state and no freedom of religion in the Middle East. Education must come before democracy"

As for Israel, Rev. El Shafie declares that there are two things that the Jewish state cannot be questioned for. "When Israel's right to exist and Israel's right to defend itself, come into question, a line has been crossed," he stated. "The new anti-Semitism today is to hate Israel."
