(Scroll down for video) A girl was arrested and punished by police after spilling water on a government car, according to photos uploaded to the internet.
Now, two officials in China were reportedly suspended from their position after allegedly handcuffing the teenage girl, and parading her around town because she poured water on their government car.
The incident of alleged mistreatment by officials spread after photos of the handcuffed 13-year-old were published on a popular Chinese social media website.
According to the social media website, she accidentally splashed water on an official’s car in southwest China. The officials allegedly began arguing with the girl and she was then handcuffed. She was also forced to march in the street for 20 minutes.
The official and municipal police officer involved in the incident have been suspended pending an investigation into their actions.
