(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested and charged after throwing her newborn baby into the trash at her office building, according to a statement released by police in Virginia.

“The newborn baby girl was found abandoned in a dumpster as common household trash,” a judge in Richmond, Virginia was told. “She died of asphyxiation,” prosecutors said at a bail hearing.

Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Janae Craddock also told a judge that the mother, Shavaughn Robinson, 27, told police: "I do not want people to think I killed that baby for nothing."

It was unclear what Robinson meant by her comment.
In today's hearing, Craddock asked that Robinson be held without bail, arguing that she gave birth to the baby last week in a bathroom in an office building on Monument Avenue and left the child in a plastic trash bag in a dumpster behind the building.

Craddock also said that Robinson, who is charged with felony concealment of a corpse, faces additional charges and is considered a flight risk. Police have labeled the child's death as a homicide.

Craddock said Robinson gave birth Tuesday in a bathroom at the Lee Medical Building, where she worked as a massage therapist. Craddock said Robinson was seen wiping blood off a bathroom stall.
"Her only concern was to clean up her mess," Craddock said.

Robinson also told a cleaning woman that she was having stomach problems, a janitor, who works in the building, told police.
Robinson put her baby in a trash can in the bathroom, put some paper towels on top, tied the garbage bag shut and left it in the dumpster, Craddock said.

A janitor found the body at night and called police.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Police operator fired after saying ‘black people are animals’

(Scroll down for video) A female police operator was fired from her job after she was caught calling black people animals, according to a statement released by the Dallas, Texas police department.

The Dallas 911 operator has been sacked for allegedly posting the racist comments on her Facebook page.

"Blacks are outrageous! They are more like animals, you never know what to do, just love how they always cause problems," one of her Facebook posts read. "I can count on one hand the black people I know that have brains,” another post read.
Another post seems to refer to a specific call the operator received.

"I can count on one hand the black people I know who are not selfish," another post said.

After the messages were brought to the attention of the Dallas Police Department they issued a statement saying that April Sims, 23, was terminated for violating the social media policy of the department. The department said Sims was already on probation, so she has no right to appeal her dismissal.

Dallas Councilman Dwaine Caraway said the incident "not only embarrassed the department it shamed the city."
"First, I was surprised and saddened to know that this is happening and is still taking place at the present time, especially here in the 911," Caraway said.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

Man arrested, charged with obstruction after taking car out on a test drive

A man was arrested and charged with obstruction related charges after he took a car out on a test drive and was stopped by police, according to police reports in Georgia.

The man, who has been arrested, was test-driving a BMW.

Jon-Christopher Sowells had driven a BMW from the Philips Motors car dealer on Highway 78 in Snellville, Atlanta for a test drive when an officer stopped him.

"He said you have no tags on the car,” Sowells said. “I said, 'No problem, I have no tag on this car because it is not my car and the dealer is right there. We can get it all cleared up,'" he said.
Sowells said he asked the officer to talk to the dealer, but the police officer refused and asked to see the documents.

"I was asked to leave the car. I said, 'I do not feel comfortable.’ They began to open the car door and tried to get me out of the car by pulling my left arm," he said.
The officer called for backup and Sowells was arrested for obstruction.

A police department statement said: "The officer saw a document in the back seat that appeared to be of the type dealers use to place a vehicle up for sale. He asked if he could see it and Sowells refused to comply. Based on his refusal to provide the information and his passive and active resistance, Sowells was charged with obstruction."

Sowells also said: “The dealer came by to collect the car and then I'm thinking that I can go home, all is right now, but no, it was not right, I'm going to jail."
Sowells, who has never been arrested before, is now planning to fight the charge.

(Scroll down for video) A woman became annoyed when reporters asked her too many questions about her daughter, who was recently shot.

The woman asked the crew to leave, but when they did not do so, she sent her pit bulls to attack the reporter and the crew.

Melissa Lawrence, 35, of Rhode Island was jailed Wednesday after she was caught on camera sending her two pit bulls to the reporter, who tried to interview her after a recent shooting at her home.

According to police, the shooting incident occurred on Sunday afternoon after an argument broke out at her Lawrence home.
An uninvited guest showed up at the house during a relative's kindergarten graduation party, and began to eat the food she had prepared.

Lawrence reportedly became angry and ordered the guest to leave or pay for the food he was eating. The guest left, but returned later with a group of friends and began shooting. Lawrence's daughter, 16-year-old Ny'asia Lawrence, was shot in the back and is now recovering at a local hospital.

After a teenager, who participated in the shooting surrendered, reporter Abbey Niezgoda went to Lawrence's house to inform them of the arrest, and she tried to get a comment from the woman.

Lawrence responded to the news by replying: "That's good," but when the reporter asked more questions, Lawrence said that she would not have any part of it, and asked the television crew to leave. They did not leave right away, as they were on public property.

In retaliation, Lawrence picked up a stone and threw it at the cameraman, Lawrence then sent her dogs to get rid of them. The pit bulls were seen chasing the reporter back and forth across the road until she managed to escaped into a neighbor's backyard.

Lawrence was booked into jail and was charged with two counts of felony assault.

Prosecutor fired for posing as accused killer's former girlfriend on Facebook

Aaron Brockler
By: John Roberts

(Scroll down for video) In a surprising case, a prosecutor opened a Facebook account where he attempted to persuade witnesses to change their testimony.

An Ohio prosecutor was fired for creating a fake Facebook account to chat with witnesses in a murder trial.

Aaron Brockler, 35, confessed to posing as a woman on the social media website, in an attempt to convince witnesses for the accused murderer to change their testimony, but he insists he acted in the public’s best interest. "Law enforcement, including prosecutors, have been using this practice to get the truth," Brockler said.

Brockler was the lead prosecutor in the aggravated murder trial of Damon Dunn, 29, who is accused of fatally shooting Kenneth Adams at a Cleveland car wash on May 18, 2012. Luckily for Dunn, he had two women who told police that they were with him at a different location at the time of the shooting.

Brockler posed as a former girlfriend and baby-mama of the defendant, and attempted to get the two witnesses to recant their alibi of Dunn.

County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty, fired Brockler and called the tactic "unethical behavior."
