(Scroll down for video) A teen girl was rushed to a hospital after she jumped into an empty pool, according to hospital officials in Massachusetts.
Two young Westford women decided to go "pool hooping", but one of them landed in the hospital when she jumped into the empty pool.
Jane Gallagher, the mother of 18-year-old Kelsey Gallagher, said her daughter suffered a spinal injury, a fractured skull and a broken wrist when she jumped into the pool just after midnight Monday.
A 20-year-old woman was unharmed.
The owner of the pool, Chester Cook, said he did not know the women. He said the older woman knocked on his door at 12:30 am Monday when her injured friend needed help.
The pool was in the process of being repaired and had no water inside.
Police said that the women participated in a game of "pool hooping", or taking a dip in the pools of strangers. They face charges of trespassing.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
