A foolish man was slapped with additional prison time after he was busted with driving a stolen car on his way to jail, according to court proceedings in Canada.
Canada Police said that Jorden Morin from Ontario, who was previously convicted of assault, was serving a sixty day weekends only sentence, when he was busted again.
The 25-year-old had been in possession of the vehicle for four days when the authorities caught him on his way to jail, two months ago.
"I thought it was a good idea at the time," Morin said. "I should not have taken the car. I was unable to think straight because all of the pressure on me. I admit that I made a bad choice," Morin added.
His lawyer argued that it was always a struggle for Morin to serve time on weekends, since he lives 150 kilometres away from the prison facility.
He added that his client should not have taken the option of weekends only prison, calling it a "terrible mistake".
Morin had only ten days left in his original sentence when he was handed an additional ten months in prison for violation of probation and possession of stolen property.

Do you look like Adolf Hitler and you were always embarrassed by it? Well, now, you might be able to earn some money because of it, according to a new advertisement placed on Craigslist.
A television channel is advertising for lookalikes of historical leaders in order to use them in an upcoming drama documentary.
An advertisement placed on Craigslist is asking people, who look like Adolf Hitler or Winston Churchill, who want to star in a new History Channel mini-series, to contact the company.
The television channel is also looking for someone to play Franklin D. Roosevelt.
The advertisement says: "The most important thing is that you have a physical resemblance to one of the historical characters. A German accent for Hitler and a British accent for Churchill, would also be helpful, but is not necessary. The job does not require previous acting experience."
Suitable candidates will be invited to apply to audition.
Doctors from Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, enabled a young Gaza girl to speak and breathe independently for the first time in seven years, according to a statement released by Hadassah.
Hadassah said that the parents of the child were told: "Her injuries are forever, for the rest of her life." Hamdi Aman of Gaza is the father of seven-year-old, Maria.
However, overcoming international obstacles and lack of medical facilities, doctors partnered with Hadassah along with Columbia University Medical Center carried out life-changing surgery for Maria in order to enable her to breathe and speak for the first time since she was born.
In 2006, 4-year-old Maria was seriously injured and became a quadriplegic, unable to breathe and speak independently. Unable to be treated in a Gaza hospital, doctors in Israel considered her a "unique case", and decided to treat Maria in an Israeli hospital. Later she was sent for rehabilitation at Alyn Woldenberg Family Hospital in Jerusalem.
Since then, she has been on a ventilator, and she uses her chin to operate a wheelchair. Israeli doctors determined that the only way to improve her condition was with surgery that involved technology, equipment and expertise not available in Israel.
Dr. Ginsberg arrived in Israel to perform the surgery. The surgery required placing two electrodes under her chest in the phrenic nerve, which controls the diaphragm.
After the successful surgery, Maria is back in the Alyn Hospital for recovery. In August, doctors predict she will be off her respirator and will breathe and speak independently.

The student of Kansas City, Missouri, was also detained for more than nine hours by customs officials in the U.K., before being put on a plane back to the U.S. He believes he was targeted because he was Jewish and had traveled to Israel, according to a report in JNS.org.
Louis Cantor, 23, arrived in the U.K. and waited in line to go through customs. He was arrested after a customs agent saw two pages in his passport had Israeli stamps. Cantor said he was never told why he was refused entry. He was told that his photo and fingerprints have already been placed in a database that will make it impossible for him to gain entry into the U.K. or any other European Union country, ever again.
Cantor's father, Chuck Cantor, said that during the time Cantor was detained, he was given only half a sandwich and a little water. When Cantor asked for more food and water, his request was denied, and he was told to "stop whining."
A U.K. man, Kevin Shilling, who had offered Cantor a summer job, said the when he spoke with the U.K. Border Agency in an attempt to get Cantor admitted into the country, he made more than one anti-Semitic remark.
Later, Cantor was escorted to a plane for a flight back to the U.S. "My only real goal now is to get my fingerprints and photo removed from the database, and get my black stamp on my passport removed as well," Cantor said.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

The Israel Security Agency, also known as the Shin Bet, said this week that a police officer of the Palestinian Authority was arrested several weeks ago after carrying out a terrorist attack in Samaria.
The police officer shot a Jewish man, 70, while he was waiting at a hitchhiking station outside the Israeli city of Kedumim. The victim suffered minor to moderate injuries.
Two brothers of the police officer were also arrested for helping the suspect before and after the attack.
Those arrested have been identified as, Iyad Adnan Mohammed Daoud, 30, of Kalkilya, who worked as a Palestinian Authority police officer, his brother Baha Adnan Mohammed Daoud, 27, and another brother, Mahmoud Adnan Mohammed Daoud, 22.

The Israel Security Agency said that before his arrest by Israeli security agents, Iyad Adnan was arrested by the Palestinian Authority for his alleged involvement in the shooting attack.
He was released by the Palestinian Authority after he denied any involvement in the attack.

(Scroll down for video) A new novel writes about how Iran destroyed Israel with a nuclear strike, according to a book review in JNS.org.
"You, Daniel, and your crew of 34, are the last Israelis. You are all who remain of Israel. You are homeless. You must go elsewhere", Gabriel Cohen, an officer of the IDF stranded in Greece, informs the captain of Israel's Dolphin submarine in the latest novel written by Noah Beck, “The Last Israelis.”
Israel has been destroyed in a nuclear attack, and now Daniel and his team must choose its course. Do they still fulfill their mission of revenge and provide a fatal blow to the enemy, or do they abandon the ship?
For Israelis, a new era is dawning. Beyond the constant threat of terror and conventional warfare, there is an imminent threat of total annihilation. “The last Israelis,” imagines the final catastrophe of Middle East diplomacy if Iran's nuclear program continues unchecked.
Seizing on the historical moment of the P5+1 nuclear talks with Iran that took place in Baghdad in May 2012, Beck presents his novel as a narrative summary of the crisis, highlighting the unique and important Jewish culture that is increasingly threatened by Iran’s nuclear capability.Mobile video not loading? New York City changed the name of an intersection in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, New York, for a Hasidic Jew, who died trying to protect his girlfriend during a botched robbery of a kosher liquor store.
Avenue J and Nostrand Avenue will soon have a sign saying "Yoseph Robinson Avenue" to honor Robinson, a 34-year-old employee at MB Vineyards. He was shot to death in August 2010.
A masked man held up Robinson and his girlfriend Lahavah Wallace, demanding that she hand over her jewelry. The robber shot Robinson in the chest when he tried to grab the suspect’s gun away.
Wallace spent months working with Councilman Jumaane Williams, Democrat, Midwood, to honor the memory of her boyfriend with a street sign in the city.
"This will allow those who did not know him to ask who he was," Wallace said.
Robinson, a Jamaican who converted to Orthodox Judaism, maintained close ties to both cultures.
"Maybe we can still be the bridge for communities in some way. It's a fitting tribute and honor to an amazing man," Wallace said.

(Scroll down for video) An Israeli terror attack victim is excited to compete in the European Championships for basketball, according to a report in the Tazpit News Agency.
Asael Shabo is excited as he talks about his participation in the European Wheelchair Basketball Championships taking place from June 26 – July 8. The 19-year-old competed for his first time on Israel’s national wheelchair basketball team in Frankfurt, Germany against several European teams. Although the Israeli men’s team won one game and lost three, the real meaning of success goes beyond winning for Shabo.
“I waited a long time for this moment,” said Shabo in an exclusive interview with Tazpit News Agency. “It’s been a long emotional, physical, and mental journey for me to get to this point.”
When Shabo was nine-years-old, a Palestinian terrorist broke into his family’s home in the Itamar community and murdered his mother and three brothers in a brutal gun attack on June 20, 2002. Asael, who was watching TV together with his five-year-old brother, Avishai, was badly injured while his younger brother was killed in the attack. A sister, Aviya, was also injured.
Following the terrorist attack, Shabo’s right leg had to be amputated and he spent two years in the hospital. Shabo also began intense rehabilitation treatments at the Israel Sports Center for the Disabled (ISCD) in Ramat Gan.
“When I first met Asael, he was a very timid nine-year-old kid,” says Boaz Kramer, the Executive Director of ISCD and a Paralympian himself. “He made very little eye contact and we worked very hard to get him to open up and integrated into the sports program,” explains Kramer.
“Most of the children at our center do not have the same kind of tragic background as Asael – he really had to go through an intense emotional process. Playing sports has been a key rehabilitation tool,” Kramer, 36, told Tazpit News Agency.
“After about five years of intense hard work, Asael made amazing progress. He became a very competitive sports player both in swimming and other sports and frequently represents the sports center on an international level.”
There are currently 2,000 disabled children and adults who are part of the 20 different sport fields at the ISCD, most of which are wheelchair-related activities. Opened in 1960, the ISCD was the first sport center for the disabled in Israel and has treated thousands of children including many victims of terrorist attacks.
On Wednesday, Asael and the Israeli national basketball team will play against Poland in the last game of the European Wheelchair Basketball Championship’s first round of games.
Meanwhile, Asael’s family has been watching him play ball in Germany on the family’s computer via live streaming.
“This is the first time I’ve got to take part in an experience like this,” says Shabo, whose family lives in the community of Kedumim in the Samarian hills. “My dad is a great supporter of me and the sports center has given me the skills to grow and develop. I hope to surprise and inspire everyone who has supported me including those watching above me - my brothers and my mom.”Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
Lisa Knight with her daughter Sarah
(Scroll down for video) A family in Oklahoma is in disbelief after a judge handed custody of a young child to her father, who is a convicted sex offender.
Six years ago, Nicholas Elizondo was convicted for raping his stepdaughter, who was 6-years-old at the time.
Elizondo pleaded guilty and took a plea deal. He was sentenced and served six years in prison. Recently, Elizondo filed a petition in court for custody of his daughter named Sarah, who is the same age as his victim at the time of the alleged rape.
The girl’s mother Lisa Knight and Elizondo are divorced. While Elizondo was initially given supervised visitation, he was later awarded unsupervised visits with his daughter.
Now, he fought for custody after claiming that he was denied his right to see Sarah. Oklahoma County Judge Howard Haralson awarded sole custody to the father.
Elizondo is a registered sex offender and was convicted. He was imprisoned in 1995 after committing lewd acts with a child under 14-years-old. He was paroled and completed probation.
Knight said that her former husband did not fight for custody until their daughter was the same age as the victim, who he allegedly sexually assaulted. Knight also claimed that Sarah said she had been touched inappropriately by her stepbrother while visiting her father. Elizondo denied the allegations.
Sarah suffers from cleft lip and palate, Knight believes the judge punished her for not being able to name all of Sarah’s doctors and specialists. She plans to fight the case in an appeal, although she has almost no money left for legal bills.
Because he is a registered sex offender, Elizondo, will not be able to perform simple tasks for his daughter such as taking her to school, to the park or any other place dedicated to children.
Elizabeth Mort, Alex Rodriguez and their baby
(Scroll down for video) A family won a lawsuit against child services and a local hospital after their baby was taken away over a bagel.
The woman was reunited with her baby after the hospital’s random drug test falsely proved her to be positive for drugs.
The hospital might want to reconsider their policy of randomly checking pregnant women for drugs after they were forced to pay the woman.
Elizabeth Mort of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was shocked when her newborn baby was taken away from her because she failed a drug test at the hospital. The woman later told investigators that she ate a poppy-seed bagel before she went to the hospital.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania, filed a lawsuit on behalf of Mort against the Lawrence County's child welfare agency and the Jameson Hospital. In the end, they agreed to settle and paid the woman $143,500.
Mort claimed that a poppy-seed bagel she ate before reaching the hospital caused a positive result in the drug test, which led to her 3-day old-daughter being taken away from her.
Mort said she was at home with her baby, Isabella Rodriguez, when a social worker arrived with an emergency custody order and took her baby.
The lawsuit alleged that Mort was never told at the hospital that she had failed a drug test, and she was never asked if she had eaten anything that could have affected the test results.
Five-days after the baby was taken away from her mother, they were reunited after local officials agreed that there was no evidence that the mother had used illegal drugs.
The lawsuit argued that Jameson Hospital used a much lower threshold to detect drugs than that of the federal guidelines,
resulting in false positive tests.
The federal standard is 2,000 nanograms per milliliter, but the Jameson Hospital used a reading of 300 nanograms, according to the lawsuit.
ACLU officials said that the hospital and the county need to implement policy changes so newborns are not taken away from parents based solely on maternal drug testing, which may be inaccurate.
"We hope this case will encourage hospitals that routinely test pregnant women for drug use to reconsider this practice because of the damage that can result from false positives," ACLU attorney Sara Rose said.

(Scroll down for video) Doctors were left scratching their heads in a case they have never seen before.
A 55-year-old woman, who has remained unidentified, suffers from a rare disease called foot orgasm syndrome, and is the only known case in the world so far.
According to Dr. Marcel Waldinger who treated the woman and a professor in the Netherlands, this is the first known case of the syndrome, which causes the woman to experience up to six orgasms a day without any sexual thoughts or actions.
The woman had recently spent 18 months in a hospital, some of the time in a coma, due to a sepsis infection. When she awoke from the coma, she felt a tingling sensation in her left foot. Since then, any stimulus to her foot causes her to experience an orgasm.
Dr. Waldinger believes that the cause was due to the confusion in her brain signal, which may have happened while the woman was in a coma. Researchers, who published their findings of this case in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, believes that foot orgasms occur as a result of a signaling mix-up in the female brain caused by damage to the nerve fibers in the foot.
According to the researchers, the problem developed because the nerve that supplies information from the foot reaches the spinal cord at the same point as the nerve that provides information of the genital region. Therefore, as a result of damage to nerves, the brain was unable to differentiate between regions.
After an extensive study on the case, it was established that the woman could be treated with an injection of anesthesia into one of her spinal nerves. The woman agreed to go through with the treatment and it worked. The daily orgasms in her foot had stopped.
Dr. Waldinger said that other people may suffer from the disease, but are too embarrassed to admit it or talk about it.

Nguyen Quang Hung with Samuel Axelrad
(Scroll down for video) A man was happy to be reunited with his arm after 47 years.
The Vietnam War Veteran had the opportunity to thank a U.S. doctor, who saved his life 47-years-ago.
Nguyen Quang Hung is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was shot in the arm by U.S. troops in October 1966 during a battle near the town of An Khe.
After floating in a stream to escape the shooting, the North Vietnamese soldier took refuge in a rice warehouse before being rescued by a U.S. helicopter.
After he was rescued, the veteran was then taken to a military hospital, where he was treated by U.S. doctor Samuel Axelrad. Hung remained at the military hospital for eight months until he recovered. Hung’s arm was badly wounded. In order to save his life, the affected hand had to be amputated.
Dr. Axelrad later took home the bones as a reminder that when an enemy soldier was brought to him, he did the right thing and treated the man. The bones were sitting in a closet for decades. When the doctor finally took them out two years ago, he was wondering about its true owner.
After some research, the U.S. doctor found the former soldier. Dr. Axelrad flew to Vietnam, where the men met at the home of Mr. Hung in central Vietnam. The doctor also met Hung’s children and grandchildren along with other people who believe the U.S. doctor is a hero.
"I am very happy to see him and have that part of my body again after almost half a century. I never thought it's the kind of keepsake a person would want to own," Hung said.
"I am proud of having shed my blood for my country's reunification, and I consider myself very lucky compared to many of my comrades who died or are missing,” Hung added.
"I cannot believe that the U.S. doctor took the infected arm, cleaned off the infected skin, dried it, reconnected the bones, took it home and kept it for over 40 years,” Hung said.
Hung plans to bury his arm with the rest of his body when the time comes.
Police are investigating after a woman was found with a toilet brush in her privates.
A family is angry after their daughter was found half undressed with a toilet brush inside of her.
26-year-old Duduzile Zozo of Ekurhuleni, South Africa, was assaulted and killed in what her family calls a hate crime. Her mother suspects that Zozo was assaulted because of her lifestyle choice. Detectives have not yet confirmed if Zozo was physically raped.
Thokoza Police Captain Godfrey Maditsi said officials were awaiting an autopsy to determine if she was raped, or if only a foreign object was used in the assault. Police only confirmed that a toilet brush was forced into her private parts and it was still inside her when her body was found.
Zozo’s broken hearted mother Thuziwe Zozo, 55, said: "My daughter would never hurt anyone. She was a lesbian, but she has never had trouble before. People loved and appreciated her.” "The last time I spoke with her was on Saturday when she asked me for money for drinks," she added.
Captain Godfrey said that the matter is still under investigation. Police are still questioning people who were with her the night before. So far, police know that she was at a bar the night before her death.
"A murder case has been opened and we ask the community to come forward with any information that may help bring those responsible to justice," Godfrey said.

A man was left red-faced after he accidentally showed an adult movie on a public LED display, according to video uploaded to the internet.
It all happened when a technician, who was working on a large public LED screen in China, accidentally uploaded an adult movie for ten minutes in a main square near the Jilin train station before pulling the plug on it.
Yuan Mou, who was repairing the screen, did not realize that his computer was still connected to the LED screen when he began watching the movie “Xin Jin Ping Mei”, also known in English as "The Forbidden Legend: Sex and Chopsticks".
When the advertising company that owned the LED screen notified Mou about what was being displayed, he quickly unplugged his computer and threw the CD out the window.
The incident occurred last week and police are investigating.
Photos of the movie being played in the square went viral on Chinese social media websites.

He wore the combination vest and shirt in order to look presentable for his first yearbook photo in 1973. The following year, he accidentally wore the same outfit again.
"I was so embarrassed when I got the yearbook photos back from school that second year because I realized I had used the same outfit as the previous year," Irby said.
Irby's wife, Cathy, dared him to wear the outfit again for the third year. In the spirit of a joke Irby continued wearing the same outfit for a period of five years, after which he thought "why stop?"
Unfortunately, Irby retired this year after 40 years of teaching. It remains unknown if Irby plans to carry on with his joke until he dies.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view

(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested and will be charged with assault related charges after pouring gasoline on several city bus passengers, according to police reports in Missouri.
Kansas City police said that the woman allegedly sprayed passengers on a Metro bus with gasoline early Monday.
The incident occurred at 5:30 am, according to Police Captain Tye Grant, a spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department.
"The woman became angry with a man sitting in a seat. It is not clear if he was where she wanted to sit or where she normally sits," Grant said.
The woman pulled out a water bottle containing gasoline and started pouring it on the man, according to Grant. Other bus passengers were also doused with gasoline.
A spokesperson for the transportation authority, Cindy Baker, said the woman pulled out a match as well. It was not clear whether the woman successfully lit the match.
Grant said that police were aware of the match, and he also said that the police had no indication of whether the woman tried to set the gasoline on fire.
Then, the woman pulled out a kitchen knife and "swung it around," an eyewitness said.
Several bus passengers subdued the woman until police arrived.
At the time of the incident, there were twelve passengers on board the bus. Emergency crews were able to clean up the gasoline and no injuries were reported.
Police arrested Ebony D. Williams, 32, of Kansas City, and will appear in court for six counts of assault, one count for each victim.
After complaining of stomach pains, the suspect was escorted to a local hospital.
The police intend to charge the woman with six counts of assault, Grant said.

Springboro Police said that a woman blamed her diet supplements after police accused her of molesting her young daughter, recording the abuse on video and emailing them to others.
As we reported earlier, a man, who suspected his girlfriend of cheating on him, decided to check her cell phone.
He was horrified to find that she was “cheating” on him with a 4-year-old.
The man was so disgusted by the disturbing videos on her cell phone and tablet, that he decided to call the police to report his girlfriend.
Officers arrested Tanai Fortman of Springboro, Ohio, and she was charged with child pornography related charges. The man, who asked to remain anonymous, said that he suspected his 32-year-old girlfriend was cheating on him, so he checked her cell phone and her tablet, to see if there was any evidence that she had been unfaithful.
Instead of finding what he expected, evidence of her talking to another man, he discovered five 30-second clips of videos that involve Fortman in sexually explicit situations with a 4-year-old girl.
Fortman allegedly asked her boyfriend to delete the pornographic videos, but he refused and called 911.
"I cannot stop thinking about my own children. I do not wish it on anyone else’s child," the man said.
When she was arrested, Fortman allegedly told police that she does not remember recording the videos due to a "large intake of weight-loss pills that left her unconscious."
Fortman is held on $75,000 bond in the Warren County Jail.
Social Services placed her 3 children with the children’s father.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
One of the suspects under arrest
At least ten children were kidnapped from their school in broad daylight, according to police reports in Mexico.
Police said that ten children were abducted from a kindergarten in the central Mexican state of Morelos, but were released a few hours later, and emergency workers said that they are all "in good health".
"The children have been found and are in good health," the governor, Graco Ramirez, who belongs to the leftist Democratic Revolution Party, or PRD, said in a Twitter message.
"We have arrested several suspects," Ramirez said, adding that the kidnapping of children was a "criminal provocation" that the authorities will not tolerate.
State Government Secretary George Messeguer said on Twitter that the children were found inside the Espana Hotel in central Cuernavaca, just two hours after they were kidnapped.
"The kidnapping happened through a telephone hoax," the official said. An investigation is underway to determine the facts of the case.
He also said that several people have made statements about the incident, including officials of the kindergarten and a teacher in the town of Chamilpa.
Parents of the children said they had received a phone call from the alleged kidnappers demanding $77,000 in exchange for the safe release of children.
In a new trend that popped up recently, more young women are selling off their virginity in order to be able to pay for their school tuition.
The latest woman to auction off her virginity is a 21-year-old from San Felipe, Chile. She said that she is selling her virginity to the highest bidder, and intends to use the money to pay for higher education.
The woman who goes simply by the name "Tamara" published her offer on the VIP Aconcagua, a Chilean escort website, claiming she needed the money to pay off her college debt.
"Hi, I'm Tamara, I am 21-years-old and I'm selling my virginity. The reason I am selling my virginity is because I have a large debt to pay and my family cannot pay for it," the advertisement reads. "I need money. If not, I would not do this," it also states.
The advertisement includes six pictures of Tamara posing in seductive lingerie and guidelines for potential bidders. She said that she will require the winning bidder to use protection and will only accept offers from individual men, couples, lesbians and men with fetishes, will not be considered.
As expected, the announcement has generated a series of reactions ranging from support to opposition.
Tamara is not the first Latin American woman to auction off her virginity. Last year, 20-year-old Catarina Migliorini of Brazil announced that she was selling her virginity at auction for at least $155,000 in order to be able to donate to a charitable organization.
Her expectations were blown away after a Japanese man offered her $780,000.

At least fifty people were arrested and charged with sex trafficking related charges after police busted several sex slave rings in Spain and France, according to police reports.
Spanish police said Monday that two Chinese crime gang rivals have been caught and arrested in Madrid. The rings brought women, including minors, from China, with the promise of well-paying jobs.
The crime rings then forced the women into prostitution.
The police operation, which was conducted in cooperation with the French police, has resulted in the arrest of 26 suspects in Spain and 25 in France, as well as "the release of 25 victims," according to a police statement.
The police statement further says:
"The victims, some of them minors, were recruited in their home country with the promise of a job in Spain, with a monthly salary of more than $5,000."
The Chinese women came to Spain with false visas and were charged between $15,600 and $18,200 for the trip, a part of which had to be paid before leaving China.
Once in Spain their passports were confiscated by the ringleaders and the women were kept in tiny, windowless rooms in Parla, a southern suburb of Madrid.
Police said the women were forced into prostitution for at least a year and had to give 40 percent of their income to the ringleaders.
The police statement added that the two rivals rings owned 11 properties with a total value of more than $3 million. Agents seized cash along with various weapons and four cars.
(Scroll down for video) A New York teacher, who was reported missing 28 years ago was found dead behind a fake wall, according to police reports in New York.
New York police said that the remains of a school teacher in New York have been discovered hidden in a false wall of the basement in the house where she lived with her husband.
JoAnn Nichols was 55-years-old when her husband James, who is now dead, reported her missing in 1985, Poughkeepsie police said.
The skeletal remains of the teacher was found behind a false wall after a contractor was hired to clean the wooden house in Poughkeepsie, about 100 miles north of the city of New York.
The skeleton hands were tied and her remains were found inside a large plastic container, inside a plastic bag and wrapped in a sheet, Dr. Kari Reiber, the Dutchess County coroner said in a statement.
Sealing the body in plastic bin behind a false wall could have been sufficient to mask the smell as the body decomposed, Dr. Reiber said.
"The body was skeletonized and the hands were tied with a rope. A large area on the right side of the skull was gone indicating a blow to the head," Dr. Reiber said.
The autopsy revealed that Nichols, who taught first grade, died of blunt head trauma, Dr. Reiber said.
"She was beaten in the head," he said. "It is being ruled a homicide," he added.
The remains were identified as belonging to Nichols, through dental records.
Her husband was found dead in the same home on late last year after concerned neighbors called the police when they had not seen him for several days. He was 82 and died of natural causes, police said.
Officials said they found the house full of personal items, debris and garbage.
Nobody in the family came to claim his body, and an interim manager was appointed to take control of the assets. Nichols remains were found behind the false wall when contractors began to clean the house.
At the time of the disappearance of his wife, Nichols told detectives he last saw his wife when he went to work for IBM in December 1985.
He reported her missing when she did not show up for an appointment at the hairdressers in a beauty salon.
The next day, the couple's vehicle was discovered in the parking lot of a mall.
After Nichols disappeared, her husband was never ruled out as a suspect, Poughkeepsie Police Captain Paul Lecomte said.
"It is now safe to say that James Nichols is a suspect in this case," he said.
The couple had a son, who drowned at age 25, three years before the death of Nichols.
