We've heard of snakes on planes, but a family in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, got a surprise after a snake emerged from the drain.

The great serpent king of Mexico, a common species of snake found in the jungles of Mexico and Arizona in the U.S., surprised the young married couple, Linda and Geoff Peck at her home in Cleethorpes.

At first, they thought the creature was a great black slug.
"My husband Geoff and I walked past our back door, which is made of glass, and saw what looked like a slug in the drain,” Peck said.

"My husband went out to get a better look, but it already went down. About ten minutes later we looked again and saw the snake's head coming out. He started to leave the drain and coming into the house. I was terrified, there was a big black snake coming out of a drain,” she said.

Experts from a local pet store came to help the couple, but said it is not the only snake living in the sewers of the city.
Mexican king snakes can grow up to 4 feet long and usually live on a diet of rodents, lizards and birds.

(Scroll down for video) A teen was arrested and charged with murder related charges after allegedly killing his school principal, according to police reports in Tennessee.

Now, the teen has pleaded guilty to the charges.

Memphis Police said that a local teenager, who studied combat and sharpened a knife the night before he fatally stabbed his high school principal, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Tuesday.

Eduardo Marmolejo, 18, admitted to the charges before Criminal Court Judge W. Mark Ward, who accepted a plea agreement and sentenced the teen to 35 years in jail without parole. The teen apologized to the family of Suzette York, whom he repeatedly stabbed and left her in a pool of blood in a classroom.

"I apologize for my bad behavior," Marmolejo said. "I'm not the same man I used to be. I'm a better man," he said.

Marmolejo was charged with first-degree murder after the attack on York, 49, on the third day of school, two years ago. York was the principal at Memphis Junior Academy, a private school affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Marmolejo was 16 at the time of the killing, but a juvenile judge determined that the teen should be tried as an adult. He was charged in February 2012.

Prosecutor Reggie Henderson and defense attorney Leslie Ballin worked out a plea deal. As part of the agreement, Marmolejo agreed to a sentence that is longer than the 15 year sentence he would have faced if convicted at trial.

Henderson said he was confident that the trial would have resulted in a conviction, but took into account the wishes of the husband of York to avoid a trial.

"The evidence was overwhelming," Henderson said. "We had a confession and forensic evidence. It was a very, very strong case," he said.

Homicide detectives testified at a juvenile court hearing that Marmolejo stabbed York after having planned the murder for months. Police said Marmolejo studied combat tactics, including how to stab someone in order to prevent the victim from screaming.

York was stabbed about nine times at different angles, an autopsy revealed. Her jugular vein and spinal cord were cut, and she suffered a fractured skull.

Marmolejo told investigators he was angry with York and that he knew he would be alone with her in a classroom.

A cat made itself comfortable in the engine of a car, and it refused to leave after it has been discovered, according to police reports in Rhode Island.

West Greenwich Police said that a little kitten with blue eyes roamed a large parking area and a service station truck stop on Route 102.

After seeking refuge in the engine of a car that was being refueled by a local resident, Kirsten Harrington, the dark gray kitten refused to leave and had to be removed by two very patient police officers.

According to the officer Donald Fravala, he and fellow officer Michael Meehan worked for about 45 minutes to try to corner the cat that was getting into different engine cracks.

"The cat just kept dodging us," Fravala said.
In the end, Meehan was able to grab the kitten by the neck and give it to Harrington, who had decided he was going to adopt it.

Tropicana sales drop after changing logo on orange juice bottle

Old and new orange juice cans
By: Eva Fett

Companies work hard and spend lots of money on brand recognition.

The reason behind it is because when people get used to a brand they tend to stick with it, and they become loyal customers.

Although people are not consciously looking at logos, their buying habits are formed, and they do not like changes, especially for essentials.

It is not just the company name that people get used to, but even the design of the product. When Tropicana changed their orange juice bottle, customers moved to a different brand with a more familiar look.

The rebranding of Tropicana did more than create a customer-relations fiasco. It left a big dent in their portfolio.
After its package redesign, sales of the Tropicana Pure Premium orange juice line plummeted 20 percent, costing the brand tens of millions of dollars.

Without saying a word, customers have spoken with their wallets. After the new design had been on the shelves for less than two months, the company has announced it will scrap the new packaging design.
The company acted fast as they have reportedly lost 20 percent, or about $33 million during the two months.

Several of their competitors have benefited from the debacle, notably Minute Maid, Florida's Natural, and Tree Ripe. Varieties within each of those brands posted double-digit gains in sales during the period.
