(Scroll down for video) Police are looking to arrest and charge a suspect with animal cruelty related charges after a cat was stolen and a swastika was drawn on its back, according to police reports in New Zealand.

Christchurch Police said that a cat belonging to a local couple has been kidnapped, shaved and a swastika drawn on its back, leaving the cat owners puzzled.

Jess McGiffin said she does not believe the attack was racially motivated as her husband, James, is Filipino. She believes it is the work of mischievous teenagers.

"It has obviously just happened,'' McGiffin said. “It's so horrible. I cannot believe it,” she said.

The cat, one-year-old Turbo, was attacked yesterday, but seemed unfazed.

His whiskers had been cut and the top of its head had a bald patch on the back.

"I honestly do not know who was behind it. I've lived here most of my life and I've been in this house for three years. There has not been anything like this, ever,'' she said.

The attack has been reported to the police and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Toys R Us agrees to stop gender segregation

Toys R Us announced that it will end the practice of dividing up their toys according to gender, according to a statement released by Let Toys Be Toys.

Toy retail giant Toys “R” Us today committed to being more inclusive it its marketing of toys to girls and boys. This announcement follows a meeting on Friday between Toys “R” Us UK board members and Let Toys Be Toys, the consumer campaign group representing thousands of shoppers who are concerned with the influence on children of sexist stereotypes that are still widely used in the toy industry.

The move by Toys “R” Us marks a major change in the UK’s toy sales landscape. Managing Director Roger McLaughlan said: “We very much enjoyed meeting Let Toys Be Toys. We will work with the Let Toys Be Toys team to ensure we develop the best plan for our customers”.

The retailer today confirmed that they would draw up a set of principles for in-store signage meaning that, in the long-term, explicit references to gender will be removed and images will show boys and girls enjoying the same toys. They promised to start by looking at the way toys are represented in their upcoming Christmas catalogue.

This is not the first time Toys “R” Us has been praised for adopting an inclusive approach. Following complaints from school children in Sweden, the Swedish Toys “R” Us franchisee, Top Toy catalogue, set out to move away from sexist stereotypes, and contained photographs of boys and girls in non-traditional roles.

The changes promised by Toys “R” Us follow in the footsteps of similar commitments from several other major retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Boots, The Entertainer and TK Maxx. All have agreed to banish ‘girls’ and ‘boys’ signs from their aisles following intervention by Let Toys Be Toys.

Megan Perryman, Let Toys Be Toys campaigner, said: “We’re delighted to be working so closely with a major toy retailer and believe that there is much common ground here. Even in 2013, boys and girls are still growing up being told that certain toys are ‘for’ them, while others are not. This is not only confusing but extremely limiting, as it strongly shapes their ideas about who they are and who they can go on to become. We look forward to seeing Toys “R” Us lead the way to a more inclusive future for boys and girls.”

Dairy Queen employee hailed as hero for helping blind man who was robbed by woman

Joey Prusak
By: Sarah Weiss

(Scroll down for video) A Dairy Queen employee is being praised for his actions after helping a blind customer.

Joey Prusak, 19, of Hopkins, Minneapolis, was serving a visually impaired man at Dairy Queen. When the man paid for his order by credit card, he accidentally dropped a $20 bill.

Before Prusak could say anything, a woman grabbed the money and put it into her purse.

Prusak was horrified by the woman’s actions. So when the woman got up to the counter to order, Prusak refused to serve her unless she returned the money. The woman claimed that the money belonged to her.

Prusak gave the woman an ultimatum: return the money to the blind man or leave the store. The woman chose to leave the store.

After she left, the 19-year-old store manager went a step further. He took $20 from his own wallet and gave it to the visually impaired customer, who did not even know that he had dropped the money.
"I was just doing what I thought was right. I did not even really think about it,” Prusak said.

Apparently, Prusak was not the only one who saw the woman steal the $20 bill. Another customer in the store witnessed the entire incident including Prusak giving his own $20 bill to the man.

That customer sent a complimentary email to Dairy Queen explaining exactly what took place and praising the manager for his actions.

The Dairy Queen headquarters forwarded the email to the boss, who then printed the email and hung it up for all employees to see. One employee posted it to the internet and it went viral.

“My mom is very proud,” Prusak, who worked at the Dairy Queen since he was 14-years-old said.
Since then, other customers came into the store to give Prusak $20 just as he has done for the blind man. Others have left nice tips for Prusak as a way to show him appreciation for his kindness to humanity.

Prusak is saving the money in order to be able to get a degree in business administration.

A woman was arrested and charged with public nudity after she posed nude in front of several churches, according to police reports in Nebraska.

Lincoln Police said that a local porn star, who was already charged with trespassing and public nudity at Pius High School was charged again, this time for taking nude pictures at local churches.

In what appears to be another publicity stunt, Lincoln Police have issued two new charges against Valerie Dodds.

Her director said that the photo shoots were not a publicity stunt. He said that it was to retaliate against the church because of how people have treated her in the past.

According to her website, she posed nude at each Catholic Church in Lincoln. The police only charged her for posing at two churches.

The images are very graphic and include poses with statues.

Church officials are aware of the images and are disappointed.

The manager said she does not feel she crossed the line with the images, because they are simply artistic expressions. She is frustrated and feels that they are singling her out.

She still faces charges for her original stunt at Pius High School. She is preparing for a trial.

The woman from Lacey, Washington, was arrested after she had sex with her daughter’s former boyfriend who was only 15-years-old.

Aglaia Cloud, 36, is an aspiring actress and singer, who got the boy in bed by promising to hook him up with the right people to help him build a career in dancing.

The 36-year-old mother is accused of having an ongoing sexual relationship with the teenager.

The mother not only violated the teenage boy, but she also betrayed her daughter by sleeping with the boy, who broke up with her daughter. The crime came to light after the victim’s mother demanded to know why he was still going over to the house of the girl with whom he had broken up.

The boy told his mother that he was sleeping with the girl’s mother, who will in return help him with his future career. The boy's mother called police, who launched an investigation.

Cloud, who was released on bail, has since moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina, but she will have to return to Washington to face justice.

Russia holds first ever official army tank race inside obstacle course

Tank Biathlon
By: Shifra Unger

(Scroll down for video) The Russian military has taken sports to a whole new extreme.

They combined military training with sports, making for great entertainment.

The Russian army introduced “Tank Biathlon” where tank crews have to guide their vehicles through an obstacle course and demonstrate their precision in shooting multiple targets in a short amount of time.

The first ever Tank Biathlon was held in Moscow, Russia. The race included tank crews of several Russian military districts against teams from three countries, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Belarus.

All teams had to complete three laps of 6,100 feet long through a large field and complete different objectives.

During the first round, the teams had to use the tank's main gun to hit targets at distances up to 2200 meters, which is close to its maximum range, while racing through the field. If they missed a target it cost the team a penalty of 500 meters.

In the second round, the teams had to use the 7.62mm coaxial machine gun to hit targets placed at distances of between 600 and 700 meters.

During the last round, the teams had to maneuver their tanks through an obstacle course that included, a minefield, bridges and different obstacles, as fast as possible. Obstacles missed or crashed added a 10-second penalty to the teams’ final timing.

The Russian team won the competition, followed by Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia.

The Tank Biathlon was considered a success, but the Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, who is credited as the inventor of the sport, expects to grow the military sport further in the coming years.

The Russian army has extended an invitation to the United States, Germany and Italy, to compete in next year's Tank Biathlon in their own tanks, and demonstrate that it has the most advanced technology and skills to maneuver.

Sex offender, 47, impregnates 12-year-old New Jersey girl

Joseph Anthony Caracciolo
By: David Ross

(Scroll down for video) A registered sex offender was arrested for impregnating an underage girl.

Joseph Anthony Caracciolo, 47, of New York, who is a registered sex offender, was arrested after the 12-year-old victim agreed to help police locate him.

Caracciolo met the 12-year-old girl of Atlantic County, New Jersey, and they had sex several times before she got pregnant.

The pervert believed that he was in an exclusive relationship with the young girl and reportedly threatened her when he thought she was seeing another male.

The sex offender also wanted to have a relationship with his daughter when she was born. The two kept in touch while she was pregnant. The man constantly expressed his love for the 12-year-old and told her that he wants to be with her now that she is the mother of his daughter.

After she gave birth to her daughter, the now 13-year-old mother had discovered that the baby’s father, who falsely identified himself as Joseph Grillo, had a criminal record including rape and bigamy among other crimes. He used several names and had been conning women over twenty years.

The girl agreed to help the FBI locate her baby’s father. Authorities had been looking for Caracciolo after he moved and failed to register his address on a federal registry for sex offenders. Investigators tapped into her phone and were able to locate the sex offender.

The Atlantic County authorities arrested Caracciolo after tracing his call to New York. He has been accused of traveling in interstate commerce for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and could face up to thirty years in prison.

Caracciolo has a long history of crime. At one time, he was accused of impersonating a police officer in Massachusetts, and forcing a woman to have sex with him.
