A couple was arrested and charged with vandalism after they allegedly burned a police camera, according to court proceedings in Israel.
The couple was convicted of the crime earlier this month.
Now, Israel Police filed a lawsuit against the couple in which they are seeking 120,000 shekels in order to cover the cost of a new camera.
The incident began after a woman drove 124 kilometers per hour in a 90 kilometer per hour zone.
The woman, who noticed a speed camera, came back to the location with her partner, where they burned the speed camera.
After an investigation, the two were arrested and charged with vandalism.
A court convicted the two and sentenced them to probation, community service and a fine. The woman’s license was suspended for three months.
