|Anti-Israeli label on Tesco product|
Products sold by Tesco, Britain's major supermarket chain, now carry labels asking people to boycott Israel.
The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement has placed yellow stickers on Israeli made products. The sticker reads: “For justice in Palestine – Boycott Israel.”
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said that the “Yellow sticker is reminiscent of the dark days of racial, incitement.”
The color yellow was chosen by Hitler when he forced the Jewish people to wear yellow Stars of David.
A pro-Israeli activist residing in Dublin, Ireland, was shocked this week, when he discovered the anti-Israeli yellow stickers on Israeli made products, which are sold by Tesco.
Among the many items found carrying the yellow boycott sticker was a pack of dates from the Jordan Valley. The label read: "Organic dates, product of West Bank, Israeli Settlement Produce."
Similar stickers were placed on other products in the Tesco supermarket chain.
Tesco is a British chain originally established by Jewish businessman Jack Cohen, the son of Jewish immigrants from Poland. Cohen's grandchildren and great-grandchildren reside in Israel. The chain operates hundreds of supermarkets in Britain and Ireland.
