A woman was looking forward to the birth of her full term baby.

However, when doctors performed an emergency Cesarean section on the woman, they found no baby.

Officials in Brazil, said that doctors performed the Caesarean section on a 37-year-old woman, only to find out she was not pregnant.

“The woman told doctors that she was 41 weeks pregnant and she was in pain,” Simone Carvalho, a spokesperson for the Health Department of the coastal city of Cabo Frio, said.

Doctors believed that she was pregnant because "she had the symptoms associated with pregnancy and she looked pregnant," Carvalho said.

When doctors were unable to hear the baby's heartbeat, they felt that the child’s life was in danger so they ordered an emergency Cesarean.

Shockingly, her stomach was empty and they discovered that it was a false pregnancy.

The husband of the woman told the doctor that this was her second pregnancy.

Last year, she claimed that she was pregnant.

She told her husband that she went to the hospital, but the child was stillborn. However, she never showed him a death certificate.

This rare condition can occur when a woman convinces herself that she is pregnant, often even displaying all the classic symptoms of pregnancy.

The woman was discharged and referred to psychiatric care.

Father demands one million Facebook likes as dowry for his daughter

A father came up with a unique request from any man who wants to marry his daughter.

Instead of asking for the traditional dowry, such as money or animals, the Yemeni father is asking for 1 million “likes” on Facebook.

Any man who is able to accomplish this feat will have the privilege of being his future son-in-law.

Salim Ayyash, a well-known Facebook personality in the western Yemeni province of Taizz, has explained his interesting offer by saying that "Nobody can afford to pay the dowry in Yemen theses days."

“In Yemen, the girl’s father sets the price for dowry. The amounts are often beyond the means of her fiance,” he said.

“There have been efforts to change the high dowery requests, but so far, the efforts have been unsuccessful,” Ayyash explained.

Ayyash said that the most important thing for him is to see that his future son-in-law sets himself a goal and is able to achieve that goal.

He noted that he is willing to compromise for the sake of the future of the young couple.

"If I see that he has worked hard to achieve a goal, I'm willing to be flexible to see them happily married," he said.

A woman caused outrage after someone posted photos of her walking her grandson like a dog.

The woman in China, was seen walking the barefoot boy with a lock and chain attached to his leg.

The woman was seen begging for food in a small village in the province of Zhejiang, Shanghai.

With the help of the villagers, police found the boy and his grandmother, in a dark and damp building. He was chained to the wall.

The chain was only several meters long allowing him to move around, but not too far.

Police found that he was in the care of his 70-year-old grandmother.

The grandmother told police that she suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and asthma, and is forced to walk with the help of crutches, leaving her unable to properly care for her grandson.

When the boy was 1-year-old he fell from his bed and suffered a severe brain injury. Since then, his behavior has become extremely violent and difficult to control.

Sadly, his mother died from cancer a few years ago, and his dad has recurring mental disabilities.

"It kills me to put him on a chain, but due to his mental state, which could cause him to hurt himself or other people, it’s better this way,” the grandmother said.

Hopefully, the family will get the help they desperately need.

(Scroll down for video) A family is angry after their daughter was left brain dead during a simple surgery.

The 13-year-old from Oakland, California, has been declared brain dead after going to the hospital to have her tonsils removed in order to help her sleep better.

Jahi McMath underwent routine surgery at Oakland Children's Hospital on Monday, but suffered complications during recovery.

The child's mother, Nailah Winkfield, and grandmother Sandra Chatman, said that hospital staff failed to provide adequate care and attention to the patient.

Winkfield said that her daughter was nervous before the surgery, but she reassured the teen that the surgery will make her feel better.

McMath underwent surgery on Monday, but while she recovered, she continued to bleed from the nose and mouth.

Jahi McMath suffered cardiac arrest and was resuscitated.

She spent Tuesday on a ventilator, she had swelling in her brain, and was declared brain dead.

McMath is on life support while her family tries to come to terms with what has happened.

The family said that the hospital is pushing them to take their daughter off of live support because they need the bed for other patients.

"They have a social worker follow me around all day asking ‘Do you have any other family that need to see her?’ Like they are trying to put a rush on it,” Winkfield said.

“We're very sad about this outcome, about what's happened to her. We will certainly investigate what happened. In any surgery, there are risks and there can be unexpected, unanticipated complications,” a spokesperson for Oakland Children's Hospital said in a statement.

The family has no plans to remove McMath from life support. As long as her heart is beating they will keep her on life support.

(Scroll down for video) A 50-year-old woman was arrested and charged with child endangerment after her underage daughter publicized a topless photo of herself on the Internet, which went around in several high schools, according to police reports in Missouri.

Wentzville Police said that a topless photo of a mother, who appeared posing with her shirtless daughter, 14, spread through two local high schools through the social media application Snapchat, and has led to the mother being charged with misdemeanor child endangerment.

In the photo, members of the family seem to pose inside an outdoor jacuzzi.

"It certainly appears that the photo was posed and certainly had some sexual connotations," the prosecutor said.

"I was aware that the photo was taken, and I told her at that time, please remove that picture," the mother said. “I was going out from the tub when the picture was snapped," she said.

She now faces a year in jail.

"This is a mother who made a very bad choice. I do not think she had any clue that this would blow up the way it did, but it did and she has only her poor judgment to blame," Lohmar said.
