(Scroll down for video) Four black men were arrested and charged with murder after they allegedly killed a Jewish lawyer at a shopping mall while trying to protect his wife, according to police reports in New Jersey.
Police said that the four suspects accused of savagely killing the young man at a Hoboken shopping mall parking garage, have extensive criminal records, and one of the suspects had been released from prison just four days before the killing.
Dustin Friedland, 30, and his wife, had just finished their shopping, when they returned to their silver 2012 Range Rover and faced the four suspects.
Karif Ford, 31, Basim Henry, 32, and Kevin Roberts, 33, all of Newark, and Hanif Thompson, 29, of Irvington, were all arrested. Bail was set at $2 million each .
The four face a series of charges in the murder, including murder, carjacking, conspiracy and weapons possession.
Thompson, who has been jailed more than 12 times, was released earlier this month after serving time on a charge of theft.
Roberts has been arrested 13 times for drugs and weapons offenses.
Ford and Henry were both sent to prison in 2003. Ford for theft and Henry for bank robbery.
