(Scroll down for video) A woman was left traumatized after finding a large frog inside her salad while eating at a New York City restaurant.

The woman popped out of her office and into the restaurant for her lunchtime snack. She ordered a green leafy salad, and she received more green than she expected. She found a dead frog in her salad.

The Wall Street Journal employee visited the Pret a Manger branch located on Sixth Avenue and 47th Street, in Manhattan on Tuesday, to get what she thought was a Albacore Tuna Nicoise Salad.

Besides tomatoes, tuna, egg and olives, there was an extra ingredient. A frog, almost camouflaged among salad leaves, appeared.

Kathryn Lurie published a photo of the salad on behalf of her shocked coworker, who bought the food and did not want to be identified.

Lurie said that her colleague had started eating the food on the table and was very shaken to find the long green-brown creature.

“At Pret A Manger, we take issues like this very seriously. Our lettuce comes from farms that do not use any pesticides in its products. We are currently investigating this issue to make every effort to ensure that this does not happen again,” a spokesperson for the company said.
