(Scroll down for video) Police are looking to arrest and charge a man with murder after brutally killing his landlord, according to police reports in New York.
Brooklyn Police said that they were trying to solve a mysterious murder in the Borough Park neighborhood after a landlord was found burned and beheaded.
The body of Mahuddin Mahmud, 57, was found at 546 McDonald Avenue. Police responded to the scene at 12:18 a.m.
Mahmud’s wife was too heartbroken to speak as she moaned in pain on Saturday. The younger brother of the victim, who found the body, said that the site was the most shocking in his life.
Mahuddin Mahmud came to New York from Bangladesh.
Mahmud Mahuddin ran an electronics business, dealt in check cashing and currency exchange from the basement office.
Hanif Mahmud said his brother had been burned on the face and had a deep cut in the throat.
On Tuesday, police said that they are looking Siddiquee Mohammed, 27, for questioning in connection with the death of Mahmud.
“There is an apartment in the basement of the building that was rented to an individual with whom we would like to talk,” Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said.
Mahuddin Mahmud left behind his wife and two children, ages 4 and 9.
