(Scroll down for video) A boy was arrested and charged with first degree murder after fatally shooting his teen cousin over an Xbox, according to police reports in Illinois.
Chicago Police said that they arrested a 13-year-old boy, who allegedly killed his sleeping cousin, 16, after an argument over a video game system. The boy was remanded into custody by a juvenile court judge.
The teenager shot his cousin, Raymond Galloway, in the head at 5:50 a.m. on Sunday, while he slept in a bedroom.
The incident occurred in the 500 block of East 38th Place, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County prosecutors.
The 16-year-old was pronounced dead about 90 minutes later at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The two boys had been arguing earlier in the day over an Xbox.
A handgun was found at the apartment.
The 13-year-old told police in the presence of his mother that he shot Galloway.
The boy was charged as a juvenile with first-degree murder just after midnight on Monday.
Galloway lived in the 4300 block of South Champlain Avenue.
