Brooklyn Police said that a runaway SUV crashed into the wall of a crowded Flatbush area Popeyes restaurant on Sunday night, injuring four people.
The fast food shop, which is located on Linden Boulevard, was full of customers when the Toyota SUV broke through the wall around 8:30 p.m.
“Suddenly I heard a loud explosion. Before I knew it, when I looked around, the whole place was with white smoke and dust,” Popeyes worker Kerron Wills said.
“Everyone started screaming and panicking. I ran to their aid to save them and get them out of the car,” the worker added.
A 75-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman inside the restaurant suffered minor injuries. The driver, 61, and a passenger, 56, also suffered minor injuries.
The four victims were taken to Kings County Hospital, and all are expected to survive.
