Flatbush twins arrested after bribing police while being caught with marijuana

(Scroll down for video) Twin brothers who got into trouble for possessing marijuana, tried to dig themselves out of their hole by bribing the police, according to police reports in New York.

Brooklyn Police said that Flatbush twin brothers were arrested and charged with bribing a public servant after being accused of trying to bribe the police with a bag of cash.

The incident began when one of them was arrested with counterfeit credit cards and $24,000 in gift cards.

Jael Sanchez, 20, was stopped for not using his turn signal. While approaching the car, police spotted Sanchez hiding bags of marijuana.

When they searched the vehicle, police found marijuana, 20 Target store gift cards and Visa gift card, along with 14 counterfeit credit cards.

During the arrest, Sanchez offered $10,000 to let him go. Then, he called his twin brother, Jan, who showed up at the 71st Precinct house with a plastic bag containing $4,000.

The brothers are both facing criminal charges including bribery of a public official.
