Students and teachers freaked out after a boy brought a pellet gun to school, according to police reports.
Brooklyn Police said that a Borough Park school was on lockdown after the 15-year-old boy was seen with a pellet gun.
The incident occurred inside the I. S. 220 John J. Pershing, which is located at 4812 9th Avenue. School administrators notified the police about 12:00 p.m., a spokesperson for the New York Police Department said.
Police raided the school and located the boy, sitting in class with the gun in his bag.
The boy did not hurt or threaten anyone with the gun. He will not be charged with a crime.
The 1,400 student school will determine if the child will be punished for bringing the pellet gun to school.
