(Scroll down for video) A wanted Pennsylvania criminal was finally caught after he shared a wanted police poster on his own Facebook account.
The story began this week, when the Freeland Police Department put out a photo of Anthony James Lescowitch, a fugitive, on their Facebook page.
“*** WANTED *** Anthony James Lescowitch DOB 23/06/1978 by Freeland police for Aggravated Assault and numerous other charges. Anyone who knows where the suspect is located should call the police,” the police Facebook said.
Minutes later, Lescowitch shared the message on his own Facebook account and added some mocking words to police officers. In response, an undercover agent messaged Lescowitch and drew him to the police by pretending to be a pretty woman.
The two chatted for half an hour.
“The least you can do is go out for a smoke with me,” said the undercover agent told the suspect. He agreed.
Police immediately arrested Lescowitch when he reached the location for his cigarette date.
The arrest happened just 45 minutes after the suspect shared the Facebook post to his own account.
Lescowitch was booked into the Luzerne County jail on Tuesday, in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Lescowitch faces charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
