(Scroll down for video) Elderly female diners were left heartbroken after a young waitress wrote “old ladies” on their receipt.

A California mother of four, who is also a grandmother, went to the Bull Shed Bar and Grill in Bakersfield, with a friend after she won free tickets to see a concert at the restaurant.

When they finished eating, the women asked for their bill and noticed that their young waitress wrote something offensive to identify them.

“Our table was named ‘Old Ladies,’” she said.

The words “Old Ladies,” were printed in the upper left corner of the receipt, and that did not sit well with one of the women. The woman uploaded a copy of the receipt to Facebook.

“This is not the way we run our business,” Angel Gonzales, the owner of the restaurant, said.

Gonzales called the whole incident a big mistake.

“The restaurant has a policy of how tables are handled. There is a map and each table is labeled with a number,” Gonzales said.
