A student is dead after jumping from the rooftop of the New York University building in New York City, according to a statement released by New York University.

Titan Lee-Hai, a student at the New York University, fell 15 stories to his death after jumping from the building, which is located in the East Village neighborhood of New York City on Monday.

The 18-year-old jumped at 3:20 a.m., the New York Police Department said in a statement.

An eyewitness said that Lee-Hai was running around naked and punching people before taking his own life.

He also seemed to be very high on drugs, according to the eyewitness.

A security guard said that a fire alarm went off, indicating that Lee-Hai went to the roof. Lee-Hai jumped before guards could reach the rooftop.

The university said in a statement that it is investigating the incident.

“The university will help students who are affected by the situation,” spokesperson John Beckman said in a statement.

He also reminded students that a crisis counselor is always available.
