One of the oldest Yiddish theaters in Europe, the State Jewish Theatre of Bucharest, has suspended all performances after its roof was damaged by the snow storms sweeping across the country.
Around thirty percent of the ceiling has collapsed, and equipment was severely damaged from the water, a spokesperson for the theater said.
The theater is located in the center of Bucharest, in a neighborhood that was once home to over 300,000 Jews.
Authorities said that they would provide help to get the building repaired as soon as possible.
