A man was left hanging from a bathroom window after trying to break into a stranger’s home.
The burglar, Daniel Severn, 27, of Yorkshire, United Kingdom, was hanging upside down with his head in a toilet for more than one-and-a half hours after getting stuck in a bathroom window.
Severn tried to break into a house through a small open bathroom window.
However, as he was crawling through the window, he got stuck. Then, he accidentally dropped his cell phone in the bathtub, so he was unable to call for help.
At 5:30 a.m., when the homeowner woke up and went to the bathroom, he heard moaning on the other side of the door.
Upon opening the door, he saw Severn hanging from the window and resting his head on the toilet.
Severn, who was wearing gloves and had knife on him, begged the homeowner to call police.
When the Humberside Police arrived at the home, Severn was “unexpectedly grateful” for their presence.
Severn made a full confession about his robbery plans. He also told police that he was addicted to heroin.
Severn was convicted for attempted robbery, possession of a weapon and possession of 260 tablets of prescription pills.
He was sentenced to two years and four months in prison.
