(Scroll down for video) Compassionate young children were seen on video helping their wheelchair bound friend.
9-year-old Yuan Shuai, was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis and is confined to a wheelchair.
Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle, weakness and fatigue. He also suffers from intermittent epilepsy.
Shuia’s kind-hearted classmates help him feel a part of the class as much as possible.
At first, two classmates used to carry Shuai, by holding each side of his wheelchair.
However, as he grew and became heavier, the elementary school students in Shuangliu County, China, turned his wheelchair into a sedan chair so that 4 boys can carry him.
The chair has handles on all four sides so the young boys can carry Shuai wherever they go.
Every day, four boys volunteer to help Shuai for the day.
Those students carry him up the stairs, to their classroom, to the toilet and to the playground.
He also needs his classmate around in case he has an epileptic seizure.
