A hardworking teenage boy lost his fingers in an accident at work.

The teen’s hands were separated from the rest of his body in a factory accident.

Wang Jin, 18, of China, was rushed to the Xiang Ya Hospital in Changsha, Hunan Province, after his hands were trapped in a hammering machine.

Doctors were able to reattach his hands. However, most of his fingers were too smashed to be used.

Surgeons did their best to save some of his fingers so that Jin can have some use of his hands.

Doctors used 4 fingers, which were the least damaged. They worked for nine hours to position the fingers.

Doctors chose to attach his 2 fingers to each side of his palms.
His fingers now appear as claws.

His thumb and pinky fingers were used on his right hand. His index finger and ring fingers were placed on his left hand.
