Waiters and waitresses depend on tips to make their job worthwhile.
However, getting illegal drugs is not something one waitress wanted to accept.
A couple of Oregon, gave an unusual tip to their waitress, who served them dinner and drinks at the Twisted Fish Steakhouse.
The couple gave the waitress money for their dinner, and they also added an envelope full of methamphetamine as a tip.
The waitress took the envelope, remained calm and called police.
The police arrested Ryan Bensen, 40, and Erica Manley, 37, who were still enjoying their drinks when the authorities arrived.
Police found an additional 17 grams of methamphetamine in Manley’s possession.
After obtaining a search warrant, the police searched the couple’s room at a nearby Holiday Inn Express.
There, they found a makeshift meth lab, a small torch, batteries and other supplies.
Both suspects were arrested on charges of possession, manufacture and delivering methamphetamine.
