(Scroll down for video) A Florida woman shot and killed her two musically talented teenage children before killing herself.

The recently divorced woman had taken her former husband to court for financial support after she was forced to sell her valuables to pay for food and gas.

On top of that, the family’s home was in foreclosure, and they were ordered to move out next month.

Jennifer Berman, 48, was said to be under a lot of stress when she killed her son Alexander, 16, and her 15-year-old daughter Jacqueline, in their home in West Palm Beach.

Before shooting her children, Berman sent an email to her former husband saying that she was going to harm herself and others.

The children’s father, Richard Berman, 51, went to the house immediately after receiving the email, but he was too late.

He found the bodies of his former wife and children.

Mr. Berman is a prominent real estate agent of luxury homes. He and his wife divorced a few weeks before the murder-suicide.

In court documents, Jennifer Berman said that she was struggling financially, taking 12 hours night shifts as a nurse to make ends meet.

Investigators said that the deaths are being treated as murder-suicide after the three died from gunshot wounds. Richard Berman is not considered a suspect, police said.

The Bermans got married in 1992 in Miami.

Jennifer Berman filed for divorced in August 2012, but the couple remained living under the same roof for a while.

A few months ago, Mrs. Berman asked a judge to remove her husband from the home because of emotional abuse, and there was a lot of fighting in the home.

After the husband left the house, Richard Berman stopped paying the mortgage and other bills, leaving the newly single mother to struggle for herself.

The couple shared equal custody of their two teenage children.
