(Scroll down for video) A woman showed up to court on the wrong day, drunk and with her baby in her arms.
Terisha Wallace, 19, of Edwardsville, Missouri, was arrested on Friday, after she allegedly showed up to court drunk and with her baby in tow.
According to the Sheriff’s Office of Madison County, Wallace was arrested after she brought her baby to the Madison Criminal Justice Center while under the influence of alcohol.
This is not the first time that Wallace was arrested for alcohol-related charges. She has two previous felony charges.
Investigators said that Wallace was placed under arrest as soon as she arrived in court after receiving a tip from her mother saying that she had been drinking.
A breathalyzer test confirmed that she had consumed alcohol.
Wallace showed up to court on a Friday, but she was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
According to reports, Wallace was ordered to be in court for a parole hearing after she was accused of assaulting a 13-year-old boy. The boy suffered swelling a bruises on his face.
In that case, Wallace and a 16-year-old male reportedly punched and kicked the victim in the head.
Wallace’s mother, Cheri, has filed a motion asking the court for an order of protection for herself and for the baby.
