(Scroll down for video) A pregnant who was involved in stealing a van, gave birth while trying to flee from police.
Police in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, were involved in a high-speed chase with a black pick-up truck, which had been reported stolen.
The occupants of the truck tried to evade police by driving on the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic.
The truck eventually crashed into a telephone pole near a Red Lobster restaurant on Richardson Road, ending the chase.
Three suspects, two men and a woman, jumped out of the van and tried to escape on foot.
Police officers got the surprise of their life when they found a fourth suspect, a woman, who was nine months pregnant, trying to run from the truck.
The pregnant woman did not get far, as she went into labor at the scene and was taken to a hospital where she gave birth.
The other three suspects were arrested and will face charges of auto theft and evading arrest. They were also charged with driving violations.
The woman might face additional charges related to child endangerment.
It is unclear what motivated the group to steal the truck, especially with a woman who was in an advanced stage of pregnancy.
