The person behind sending pig heads to a Rome synagogue and other Jewish targets, was caught, police in Italy said.
Police in Rome said that they have identified a radical right-wing man they suspect of sending pig heads to the Great Synagogue of Rome, the Israeli Embassy and a museum with an exhibition of the Holocaust.
Police said that the 29-year-old local man, who was not named, has links to right-wing political groups and planned to start a new one in Rome. Anti-terrorist police were investigating him and prosecutors are preparing to file charges.
The man has been taken into custody for sending the packages last week.
Police said that anti-Semitic graffiti were also scrawled on the walls of a municipal building in the city last Friday.
