(Scroll down for video) A woman is dead after being hit by a snow plow, but luckily, her baby survived, rescue workers in New York said.
Brooklyn Police said that a Borough Park area woman was fatally struck by a snow plow on Thursday morning, but her baby was saved after being delivered by cesarean.
36-year-old Min Lin was loading groceries into her car at the Fei Long Market, which is located on 8th Avenue and 63rd Street, when she was hit by a Bobcat snow clearing plow.
The Bobcat was operated by a 42-year-old man going in the opposite direction at the time of the incident. The plow is not owned by the city.
The plow driver remained at the scene.
Lin was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center and her baby was delivered by emergency caesarean section. The infant, who weighs 6 pounds and 6 ounces, remains in critical condition.
Lin later died of her wounds.
No charges have been filed.
