(Scroll down for video) A boy is lucky to be alive after being impaled by an iron bar that pierced through his chest, neck and head, hospital officials in Brazil said.
The incident happened to 10-year-old Weverton Silva after he fell from a tree and landed on the 2 feet long iron spike.
Dr. Rodrigo Chicralla, who treated the boy at a hospital, said that it is a miracle that the boy is alive.
The iron bar just missed a major artery and his heart.
The child was on a tree branch when it broke.
It took five hours to remove the iron bar from the child’s body.
The child has already been discharged from the hospital.
