A Flatbush area man suffered minor injuries after crashing his private plane in New Jersey, the Fairfield Police Department said in a statement.
The pilot of the small plane suffered a minor leg injury after crash landing on a runway in Essex County, on Monday night.
Officials of the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating what caused the single-engine Cessna 172 model to crash land, veer off the track and overturn.
Police were contacted around 6:53 p.m. on Monday, about the crashed plane.
The aircraft approached the airport from the west and tried to land on runway number 4 police said.
The plane touched down, veered off course, hit a snow bank and overturned.
The pilot, who was identified as Chaim Masri, 46, of Brooklyn, New York, suffered a minor leg injury. The man refused medical attention.
