A man filed a lawsuit after his teeth broke while eating mashed potatoes at a restaurant, a court in Oregon has heard.
Roger Branstetter said that he was eating at the Outback Steakhouse located on Barnes Road, when two of his teeth broke.
After complaining to a manager, Branstetter was told that a plate broke in the kitchen and that the pieces had fallen into the mashed potatoes.
Branstetter lost the two teeth after a dentist said that they had to be removed and replaced with dental implants.
The manager said that it’s really disappointing when someone is injured inside the restaurant.
In the lawsuit, Branstetter claims that the restaurant was supposed to throw away the mashed potatoes after the plate broke. The lawsuit also states that the restaurant was negligent for failing to tell customers about the broken plate.
