Armed robber steals sandwich from store and accidentally leaves his wallet behind

A dumb criminal stole a sandwich from a convenience store and accidentally left his wallet behind, police in Colorado said.

Denver Police said that they are looking to arrest and charge a thief with theft for stealing a sandwich from a 7-Eleven while being armed with a knife.

The incident began when Deven Tomasso, 29, walked into the 7-Eleven store located on Lawrence Street. He grabbed a sandwich and then threatened the store employees with a knife before leaving the store.

As he was fleeing from the scene, he accidentally dropped his wallet containing his identification and address.

Tomasso is on parole after being convicted of assault with a deadly weapon causing injury. His probation sentence was set to expire in just nineteen days.

The suspect’s father said that his son has left the city as he is terrified of going back to prison, but he urged his son to turn himself in to police.
