A man will be losing his tooth after he knocked out his mother’s tooth, a court in Saudi Arabia has ruled.

The man was also sentenced to five years in prison and 2,400 lashes.

The case began when the 30-year-old man broke the tooth of his mother while punching her in the face.

The Makkah court ordered the man to lose his tooth in the same manner that his mother lost hers.

The 2,400 lashes will be divided into 40 every ten days, and the lashings will be held in public.

According to the police report, the man was arrested after his mother alerted police about the attack at a security checkpoint and urged them to rescue her. He was arrested, and a Red Crescent ambulance took her to a hospital for medical treatment.

The man confessed to beating his mother.
