(Scroll down for video) A boy is dead after police mistook his game console controller for a weapon, police in Georgia said.
The 17-year-old boy was shot and killed by a police officer when he opened the door of his home.
Christopher Roupe of Euharlee, was fatally shot on Friday, when officers showed up at the door of his mobile home to meet with his father.
The police officer who shot the boy in the chest, told investigators that he pointed a gun at her and she feared for her life. However, the boy was holding a Nintendo Wii video game controller, and was about to watch a movie.
Immediately after the shooting, the police officer called for medical assistance. Paramedics who arrived at the scene, gave the boy primary medical care and transported the teen to a local hospital where he was declared dead.
