(Scroll down for video) A woman is behind bars after allegedly beating a little girl at a supermarket, police in New Hampshire said.
Manchester Police said that the incident began when a child was attacked by a stranger while shopping with her mother at a local Market Basket.
Krystan Lambert was shopping with her 2-year-old daughter Sonia, when 47-year- old Lorraine Augustine attacked the child for no reason and would not stop. Fellow shoppers helped stop the attack and detained the woman until police arrived at the scene.
Sonia suffered cuts and bruises, but will be fine. Police arrested Augustine at the supermarket. Police said that the attacker is homeless and has mental health problems.
Augustine was arraigned in the Manchester District Court on Thursday, on two counts of assault, and is being held on $10,000 cash bail.
