(Scroll down for video) A female teacher was forced to resign after she was seen by students drinking beer in class.
The incident occurred at the Kuentz Elementary School in Helotes, Texas.
Now, fifth grade teacher Cynthia Flores-Rodriguez resigned after being placed on paid administrative leave for drinking in class. Up to four students told the principal that Flores-Rodriguez’s breath smelled of alcohol.
In addition, a student took cellphone photos, which show the teacher drinking in class. The students said that she had been drinking beer during class earlier this month. Flores-Rodriguez called in sick the next day and was questioned on the following day, when she returned to school.
The Northside Independent School District put her on administrative leave and began an investigation. However, the teacher resigned last week and the district ended the investigation, but not before notifying the education authorities.
