(Scroll down for video) A 10-year-old boy allegedly alerted his mother to the fact that she was being sexually abused by a man who took them into his home.
Francesca Riccardi, 33, of New York, said that she lost all her belongings when her Staten Island apartment was flooded by Hurricane Sandy.
Frank Villano, 72, was a friend of Riccardi’s mother, and offered her to stay with him in her time of need.
Riccardi moved to Long Island, New York, to live with Villano, who is a prominent businessman.
Villano, a divorced father-of-four, allowed the woman to move into his $3 million Glen Head mansion together with her son.
However, his kindness turned into a nightmare when Riccardi filed a lawsuit in the Queens Supreme Court, claiming that she was sexually abused by Villano.
In a lawsuit, Riccardi said that Villano laced her oatmeal with Ambien and Xanax before undressing and touching her while she was sleeping.
Although she never caught him doing so, Riccardi claims that her 10-year-old who slept with her in bed, alerted her to what was happening.
Villano’s lawyers responded to the lawsuit by saying that Riccardi is a “gold-digger,” who is seeking to get money out of Villano, and that the claim is “a complete lie.”
In the past, Villano donated $1 million to a Greenwich Village child-protection center.
