(Scroll down for video) A woman was forced to stand out in the cold for many hours before someone finally heard her screams for help.
Living in a quiet neighborhood with miles of woods around, can be nice, but if you get into trouble, it may take a long time before someone passes by.
A 68-year-old woman survived 18 hours with her hand stuck under the hood of her truck in rural Clackamas County, Oregon.
The woman was working on her truck around 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, when the hood came down on her hand.
She was trapped until 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, when neighbors who went horseback riding, finally heard her screams.
The woman was taken to a hospital with a crushed hand.
