(Scroll down for video) A teenager was badly beaten and arrested in a botched armed robbery, according to police in Florida.
Two men had just cashed a check at the Penny Saver Supermarket, when Adrian Mangual-Ayala, 16, asked them for a ride home.
The men agreed to take him home.
However, as they came closer to the teen’s home, Adrian Mangual-Ayala, who sat in the back seat of the red Oldsmobile, pulled a gun and tried to rob the good Samaritans.
The driver threw money at the 16-year-old when he was a bit distracted, and the front passenger tackled him.
The driver then pulled over to the side of the road and held the suspect down until police arrived.
Mangual-Ayala suffered bruising. He was taken to a hospital for treatment before he was arrested.
He faces charges of two counts of robbery with a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm amongst other charges.
