(Scroll down for video) A couple’s honeymoon turned tragic while BASE jumping.
Amber Marie Bellows, 28, had just married the love of her life, Clatyon Butler, 29, who shares her passion for BASE jumping.
The two decided to jump at Zion National Park in Utah, despite the fact that BASE jumping is illegal at national parks.
When Bellows jumped, her parachute did not open and she fell to her death while her husband watched.
Bellows was described as a well-known and experienced jumper.
She jumped off Mount Kinesava around 4:00 p.m. and fell 2,000 feet after her parachute failed to open.
Her husband of two weeks jumped after her, but was unable to save her.
Authorities used a helicopter to recover her body.
