Authorities in Denver, were called after a young girl shifted her mother’s SUV into gear and crashed into a Division of Motor Vehicles office in the suburb of Parker.

Police Sgt. Andy Coleman said that around 2:00 p.m. on Monday, the girl’s mother parked her car outside the government office.

She left her two daughters, 10 and 12-years-old, inside the vehicle while the engine was running.

That’s when the girl sat into the driver’s seat and put the car in gear.

Coleman said that the SUV rolled slowly through the front window of the motor vehicle office.

When the mother realized what was happening, she opened the driver’s side door and jumped in. She managed to stop the vehicle, but not before it has already caused some damage.

No one was injured in the incident.

The girl was cited for reckless driving.
