(Scroll down for video) A man sneaked into a police car, only to get locked inside.

Ruben James Turner, 30, of Oregon, was looking for a place to warm up, and when he found an unlocked police car, he sneaked inside.

However, when he tried to get out of the car he realized that it would not open. Police cars are designed that way so criminals do not escape.

To make matters worse for Turner, Portland police are not staffed 24 hours, so no one was as the station to free him.

In the morning, an officer heard someone screaming for help. That’s when he found Turner in the squad car.

Turner was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of criminal mischief, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and criminal trespass.
